🍽️ Together, We Can Set a Place for Everyone at The Lord’s Table ❤️

This holiday season, The Lord’s Table, a local food bank (501c3) is partnering with Stepping Stones Cottages, LLC to support individuals and families in our community who are struggling due to recent cuts to SNAP Assistance programs.

Across America, millions are facing a SNAP crisis with reduced benefits and higher grocery prices, many families are finding it harder than ever to put food on the table. Here at home, those with disabilities, special needs, and fixed incomes are being hit especially hard.

💛 No one should go hungry. That’s why we’re coming together to fill the gap with compassion, generosity, and good food.

🙌 How You Can Help

🛒 Donate Nonperishable Food Items
Canned proteins, vegetables, fruits, pasta, rice, peanut butter, and shelf-stable meals are especially needed.

💵 Make a Financial Contribution
Monetary donations help us purchase fresh items and meet urgent needs fast.

🤝 Volunteer Your Time
Help us sort, pack, and distribute food boxes to local families and residents of Stepping Stones Cottages, LLC who have no transportation.

We are currently seeking a Respite Provider to support a Martinsburg family with two boys, ages 10 and 12, both with autism.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference while working with a family who will appreciate your care and dedication!

Position Details:
Support Provided: Work one-on-one with one child

The boys are ages 10 and 12 and enjoy engaging activities with trusted support

📅 Flexible Scheduling: 17.5 hours per week per child

Opposite days (You’ll alternate working with each child)

Family is open to working around your availability!

Job Details:
✅ Transportation Support (Weekdays)

Schedule: 3-4 days a week (Monday–Thursday)

Time: Start at 9:00 AM, ends after drop-off

Location: Transportation to Grafton School

Duties: Safely transport the individual from home to school.

✅ Weekend Respite Care (Flexible Hours)

Hours: 2–4 hours (flexible, based on family’s needs)

Duties: Provide companionship, support, and engagement during respite time.

🕊️ In Loving Memory of Ms. Linda L. Knestrick 🕊️

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our beloved residents, Ms. Linda L. Knestrick, who left this world on July 2, 2025, at the age of 76. Linda was more than someone we provided 24-hour care for, she was a family member. Her presence touched our hearts daily, and her gentle spirit left a lasting impact on everyone at Stepping Stones.

Linda brought light and warmth into our lives. As caregivers, we often talk about the privilege it is to support someone in their later years, and with Linda, that privilege was deeply felt. Her kindness, quiet strength, and sweet humor will never be forgotten.

Please join us in lifting Linda’s family in love and prayer during this time of mourning. She is survived by her stepmother Rita Knestrick Donadieu and cousin Kathy Knestrick.

As we say goodbye, may we all hold onto the light Linda shared so freely. Rest in peace, Ms. Linda. You are dearly missed and forever cherished.

🕊️ In Loving Memory of Charity Megan Merryman 🕊️
1984 – 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of the very first members of our Stepping Stones Cottages family, Charity Megan Merryman, age 41, of Falling Waters, WV. Megan passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025, surrounded by love at Hospice of the Panhandle.

Megan was a cherished part of our community, her presence, her smile, and her strength left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know her. She brought warmth, joy, and light to our lives and to the lives of her caregivers and peers. From day one, Megan helped shape the heart of our organization, and her legacy will forever be part of the foundation we stand on.

🕯️ A visitation in her honor will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, WV.
💐 Services and interment will be private, as per her family's wishes.

Please join us in keeping Megan’s family and loved ones in your thoughts during this time. Her memory will continue to inspire the care, compassion, and community that Stepping Stones strives to uphold.

Forever remembered, forever missed.

• Up to 11,680 units annually (2,920 hours) for individuals 18 and over
• Up to 7,320 units annually (1,830 hours) for individuals under 18
• Paid at $12/hr

✔️ Respite billing: In-Home and Out-of-Home
• Up to 3,650 units annually (912.5 hours)
• Paid at $14/hr

✔️ Mileage reimbursement:
• 9,600 miles/year reimbursed at $0.41 per mile

💼 We process billing monthly, and families receive monthly payments — simple and stress-free.

🧠 We also offer:
• Behavioral Support Professional (BSP) services
