September is Newborn Hearing Screening Awareness Month!

Did you know that hearing loss is one of the most common conditions present at birth? Early detection is key, and newborn hearing screenings help identify hearing concerns within the first few days of life.

Why are these screenings important? Hearing plays a vital role in a child’s speech, language, and social development. When hearing loss is identified early, children can receive the resources they need as quickly as possible.
