People who have lost everything deserve the dignity to purchase what they need. Cash cards allow them to do that!

Donating clothing may sound like a wonderful way of helping but in reality it takes hours of manpower to sift through piles of clothes of different sizes. Unless you’re a brand donating hundreds of sweatshirts or leggings in different sizes it becomes overwhelming for organizations to recieve a hodgepodge of items.

Purchasing personal hygiene items or non-perishable food items to be donated can often be distributed effectively. However it’s best to ask these organizations what they need before drop off.

Please consider donating money that can be given as cash cards (like a credit card) to people who can purchase what they need be it food or clothing.

People who have lost everything in these wildfires deserve to buy something new, something that they need immediately, in their size. Most organizations are open to receiving monetary donations. operations gives many people in a crisis cash cards. We urge you to donate to either this organization or another other that you like. Some more organizations are listed below. Please share or spread the word.

P.S. If you have clothing you would like to donate please consider selling them and donating the proceeds to an organization of your choice. This recovery will take months and this is a steady and effective way of helping those who have lost everything.
