This is a nice version of legs up the wall but instead it is legs up the seat of the chair. Did you notice that this chair is turned so the back of the chair is facing me. Why? Because the seat of the chair slopes down away from the front of the chair. For my proportions, it is more comfortable at the backs of the knees to turn the chair this way.

This is a great way to practice "legs up...". It is easy on the low back and still helps the fluids move out of the legs.

Do you have bone loss? Over the age of 50 one in five women have Osteoporosis and there is a much greater chance you have early stages of bone loss, Osteopenia.

We can feel powerless sometimes with a diagnosis BUT you don't have to. In this workshop we will be learning all about bones; what stimulates growth and how to do it safely. We will discuss the importance of balance when you have bone loss and will be practicing ways to improve balance.

This four week workshop format will allow for lots of practice time and Q&A. Come learn the right variation of the pose for your body, especially if you have other issues with the spine, hip, knees or hands.

May is mental Health awareness month. Take a moment to ask yourself how your emotional well being is.

We have all been through a lot. Maybe now is a good time to check in with someone. Having someone listen when we talk and truest listen can be such a great gift to yourself.

I have started teaching yoga for Anxiety at Orange County Health Psychologists. I can say they do care about integrating the body and mind. They are very innovative. If you are in the Orange County area check them out. And if you are not, find someone you can talk to so your emotional well-being will be as strong as your glutes ๐Ÿ™ƒ
