Thanks to some stalwart donors, some tenacious clowns and terrific hospital personnel, we are beyond thrilled to share that we have launched Laughter League at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Healthcare clowns were part of the fabric of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) since the year 2000, first as Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit and then as Humorology Atlanta, HA.

Coming back from Covid has presented challenges in so many ways and in so many places, but we have stayed the course and continued to search for pathways to bring this important work back to the kids, families and staff in Atlanta.

Look out Atlanta - we’ve got a top-notch team of artists excited to bring you joy!

Being a healthcare clown goes beyond the work of engaging and empowering hospitalized kids. In order to be really good at it, it requires a commitment to ongoing artistic growth and education about diagnosis’s, hospital policies and more.

Today our Atlanta team had an intensive artistic workshop in preparation for our big launch - stay tuned for that news tomorrow! Shout out to Atlanta Juggling Associaton for hosting our team day!
