What is your “word”?
Spaciousness.
That was my “word”.
Spaciousness is how I wanted to feel in my body. My inspiration was spaciousness.
Was I there?
Nope.
You see, I found myself going into my third decade of working “hands on” with people, still utilizing one of my many skills of myofascial release, leaning over a massage table, assisting those with chronic pain and migraines.
And there I was at the end of the day, my body completely fatigued, muscles on fire from overuse as they flickered in spasm as I hit my mattress with a thud.
I was reminded daily how far from spaciousness I truly was…
This time of year there is a lot of buzz around goals. With the year coming to a close people are grasping as they put claims on a new goal or desperate to bring back an old goal that fell flat - for the rapidly approaching January 1.
But here’s the thing about goals…
* Goals are typically something outside of yourself, exteriorly.
* Goals are led by your head, brain, intellect.
* They come with a lot of baggage in the form of “should’s” that can feel heavy. For example, “I should go walk, workout, make a smoothie, get healthy, etc.”
* Goals require an incredible amount of motivation. And let’s be honest we are all human.
* And the most import piece, goals take place in the distant future like, “when I __________ , I will reach my goal”.
Over these past 5 years, I have been walking people through my Whole Body Empowered Framework, where I share this very spacial perspective shift as my clients step off the chronic pain rollercoaster, without battling their body.
✨ Please let me introduce you to BodyMind inspiration…
✨ Inspiration is something you can tap into now!
✨ Inspiration is led by your body.
✨ Inspiration helps you to reconnect and be present with yourself, aka embodiment.
✨ Inspiration feels light and is easily accessible.
✨ Inspiration honors your whole self.
Spaciousness continues to be my inspiration and how I want to feel in my body, even today! It guides me on the choices that I get to make.
As each year pass, spaciousness only magnifies…
* Spaciousness embodiment exercises allow me to inhale, creating more space within my body, decreasing pain, and creating more calm.
* I know how to create the feeling of lengthening spaciousness within my spine. Yes, even with degeneration from an old fracture.
* Migraines rapidly decreased as I created spaciousness in my head, movement with my cranial bones, giving my brain space to be.
* This spaciousness mindset shift in perspective, allowed other aspects of my life to become more spaciousness as a result, too.
When you have health challenges, chronic pain, or migraines lean into your inspiration and see where it can take you!
As we get ready ring in 2025, what is your word on how you want to feel in your body? What is your inspiration?
