🤎Hello N🍂vember!🤎

November is definitely a self care month with
▪️National Gratitude Month, ▪️National Healthy Skin Month,
▪️and today is National Stress Awareness Day.

What little things can you do to honor the month/day?

💗”Gratitude turns what we have into enough.”

Practicing daily gratitude creates an awareness of the good in your life.

💛”Your skin is your best accessory, take good care of it.”

Start simple. Cleanse, moisturize, and protect - even on rainy cloudy days.

💙 “It’s not stress that kills us; it is our reaction to it.” – Hans Selye

I need to read these words myself as I go into this month. 😆
*sigh*.

Take one minute to close your eyes and focus on your breath. Your breath is a way to get your mind into this present moment.

Find yourself some self care practices for November and I wish you all well! 🤎🤎🤎

💗Meditation Monday 🧘‍♀️

💗Scroll your phone for a photo captured of an experience that felt joyful (peaceful, content - you choose what you need)

💗Find a quiet space and take a moment to settle in.

💗Look at the photo and transport yourself there in your mind.

💗contemplate the experience with who -what - when - where - why questions if you need more guidance.

💗plant a seed of intention for your day.

💗end with a moment of peace and gratitude.

🌟Keep it simple🌟

1️⃣CLEANSE your face with a gentle cleanser 1-2x per day (always at night) and if your skin is sensitive or has redness, maybe you only wash at night and then just splash face with lukewarm water in morning.

2️⃣MOISTURIZE your skin to lock in moisture. Oily skin peeps may want a lighter moisturizer while dry skin people will want a thicker moisturizer.

3️⃣PROTECT your skin from uva (aging) and uvb (burning) rays every single day with a broad spectrum sunscreen of at least spf 30+.

‼️Remember that a tan is the body trying to protect itself from cellular damage.

Double Cleanse. 🧼🫧🧼🫧

If you are wearing sunscreen 😎 and/or makeup💄during the day, then you should double cleanse your face at night.

👉Remember that cleansing your face at night is an “anti-aging” or we can say “pro-skin health” step to help get rid of pollutants that collect on the skin.

▪️Start with a cleansing balm or oil of choice on dry skin,
▪️apply about a pea size amount onto your hand,
▪️rub hands together - feeling the texture,
▪️bring hands to nose & breathe deep (make it a mindful practice by incorporating all your senses)
▪️gently massage the face (mostly upward and outward strokes)
▪️next emulsify with water and rinse with lukewarm water
▪️then do a second cleanse with a gentle cleanser of choice
▪️rinse with lukewarm water
▪️gently pat dry with flannel washcloth

I really like this Papaya Sorbet Enzyme Cleansing Balm from

🧖‍♂️❤️

▪️Apply a face mask 1x per week.

▪️Look for ingredients that will help your skin type/conditions
👉dry/dehydrated: glycerin, honey, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, evening primrose oil, panthenol, etc
👉oily/problematic: niacinamide, kaolin, echinacea, eucalyptus, moor mud, pumpkin, charcoal, etc
👉sensitive: green tea, ginseng, aloe Vera, calendula, ceramides, chamomile, etc
Sun damage: look for skin brightening ingredients that increase cellular turnover.

▪️Don’t let mask completely dry on your face (rewet it if needed). You don’t want to be scrubbing it off your face - be gentle. Typically you leave masks on for 5-20 minutes.

▪️Use a warm (never hot) flannel washcloth or rinse with water.

▪️Apply your serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen if it’s day time.

👉If your not sure your skin type/condition, talk with your esthetician or dermatologist. 😉

Fresh air Friday! 🧘‍♀️🌱

▪️Step outside 🌲
▪️Pause

▪️Take a deep breath in
▪️Feel the temperature of your breath as you inhale
▪️Hold a slight pause at the top of the breath (effortlessly)
▪️Exhale out
▪️Notice the temperature of your exhale

▪️Take a few easy effortless breaths following your breath in and out with your mind’s eye.

▪️Next, breathe in and out for 4 counts equally and do 4 rounds

▪️Go back to normal, easy breathing

▪️Pause & set a seed of intention for yourself for the remainder of the day.

▪️Take one more deep breath in and a long exhale out.

▪️Have a beautiful weekend! 😊
