The Inspiration

Open Heart Kids Yoga was inspired by my beautiful, sweet, and silly daughter, Sadie. I’ve been practicing yoga for over 15 years and it has always helped me gain balance in my life. When Sadie turned 3 it occurred to me that yoga could help her navigate her way through the different stresses of growing up and developing into a little person. Being the pro-active Mom that I am, I sought out Little Buddha’s Yoga training and immediately felt that I wanted to spread this knowledge not only to my own daughter but to other families as well. I truly believe that practicing yoga as a collective will strengthen us as a whole in society. I am a teacher by profession and witnessing many of my students struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, etc. I felt that making the decision to branch out and become a kids yoga teacher would give me more tools more tools to enhance their learning. I’m elated to start this new journey and bring yoga to the families and children in my community!
