Tompkins Connect works to connect Tompkins County young professionals and emerging leaders through monthly social, networking, and service events.

Formerly the United Way of Tompkins County Young Professionals, Tompkins Connect is a partnership between the United Way of Tompkins County and the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce. Tompkins Connect hosts monthly social, networking, and service events that allow young professionals in Tompkins County to interact and connect both socially and professionally. Our official mission is to connect, educate, engage, and inspire a diverse group of young professionals and emerging leaders in a culture of social consciousness, leadership development, and volunteerism that will benefit Tompkins County.

Get ready for another fabulous Thursgay Ithaca Drag Show! This week’s theme is SNACKS, so come hungry for fun, flavor, and fierce performances. Thursgay Ithaca is Ithaca’s home for weekly q***r events, bringing the community together every Thursday night for drag, dancing, and celebration.

As young professionals, navigating finances can be tough. If you’ve struggled with your financial decision making, or just don’t know where to start, this FREE session will get you on track to feeling financially secure and achieving your goals.

Presented by local, independent financial experts at The Strebel Planning Group, “Know Money, Less Problems” will address simple, practical steps to improving financial wellbeing and preparing for a successful future. You’ll have the opportunity to meet other young professionals, and ask questions to financial experts, all for free! This session will leave you feeling more confident and knowledgeable in the following topic areas:

Budgeting - getting your financial house in order
Insurance - knowing what you need and when
Investing - setting yourself up for success
Creating (and achieving) realistic goals
When and how to find the right professionals

Only 5 spots left for Tompkins Connect Volunteer Day with Habitat for Humanity this Saturday, June 7, from 8:30AM to 12:30PM.

We’re in the final stretch of a new home build and need help with interior painting & trim work — no experience needed! The Habitat for Humanity team will guide you, and all tools & safety gear are provided. Just wear closed-toe shoes, clothes you don’t mind getting messy, and dress for the weather. Bring water and be ready to make a real impact!

This month we’ll be hanging out at The Rhine House, a West End LGBTQ+ friendly bar with darts, pool tables, a jukebox, and casual outdoor seating. Babe’s Burgers provides tableside food delivery - order using the QR codes and they’ll bring the food to you!
