My husband and I had a great Valentine’s Day in Meridian at .shop Maker’s Market! It’s the sweetest little shop full of items that are made in MS. Meeting a few other makers that represent this shop and this state made me feel so proud to be amoung them. I left a few items with them, so if you haven’t had the chance to go, be sure to stop by. Crooked Letter is just off I-20, so make a pitstop on your next roadtrip!

This pretty girl went home today. 🌸 my husband suggested her name be “how much more” as a reference and paraphrase to Matthew 6:30 and Luke 12:28 : look at the flowers… how much more will He take care of you?
No matter how you approach this Valentine’s weekend, know that the One who made the universe loves you and will take care of you. All you have to do is trust in Him.

I’m starting January at a very slow pace after a busy few months. So many of you gifted my work for Christmas and I’m so very thankful for you partnering with me and allowing me the freedom to come back to work as slowly as I need to.

This piece is one of my favorite commissions that was gifted to a deserving mom and grandmother! Each of the flowers in this bouquet represents one of her grandchildren 🥹
I count it my highest honor to paint these heirloom gifts for you.

I’ve got a lot on my list of things to come in 2026, but for now, I’m still taking down Christmas decorations and reflecting and dreaming about what 2026 will hold. The main thing being to just keep going. We began a lot of great habits over the last year and I don’t want to lose sight of that with over ambitious expectations.
So for now we winter, we dream, and we remember. Thanks for being here!

It’s been over 7 years since I painted that bouquet and I still grieve and also wonder in amazement how all of this came from that day. The Lord has healed me in so many ways and has turned beauty from ashes. He is the best artist.

Here they are! December narcissus blooms ready for new homes.
I chose this flower because of its symbolism of new beginnings, renewed hope, and rebirth. For us, that’s exactly what 2025 was all about.

I know the noise is so loud this time of year to buy more more more. I hate to add to that. But do remember shopping small really does matter greatly for small business owners and their families. If not me, then choose from a million others. 🤍
I am more than grateful for your support this first year of “full time” business. It’s been an honor being a mom first and painting for “work.” A dream.
