I don’t what else to do but to offer my words and extend an invitation to imagine something better(Español a continuación).

Please let’s be kind to one another in this spaces. There is enough suffering already.

How would you imagine a kinder world? What would you like to hear that soothes your aching soul?

“At night, a little while ago, the Universe whispered in my ear a story…
A tribe of amazing women that would travel across time and galaxies, creating bridges for healing…
Marking the trail so we can find ourselves again…”
By yours truly/ Por- Martha Lluch 👩🏻‍🎨🙌🏽💚.

Into the fire reborn 🔥. (Español en comentarios)
In a world that is drowning in pain…
When you see your pain, you give yourself permission to feel it.
When you feel your pain.
You can transcend it.
So go for it,
Surrender to the pain you’ve been holding back through the decades.
When you feel it
You can transcend it
From your pain you will be consumed in the fire
And just like the Phoenix, from the fire reborn.
….
This year has been strange and poetry has been my main refuge, as I learn to dwell in these new depths. Just when I thought I had it figured out, I’ve been called to dive deeper into my journey. To stop hiding, to be more genuine, to be more selective of where I put my energy, to create more and to rest more, in a world that is obsessed with productivity.
It’s been a real struggle because I am not who I thought I was, as the veils of my beliefs drop, and I am faced with what I’ve long ignored. A decades long pattern of restricting myself, of keeping me small.
At this point I know that the only way is through, so I call on my ancestors and all the previous versions of myself, to guide me through these burning woods🙏🏽💚🔥.
What have you been called to, that you didn’t see coming?

.4 STORIES. (Español abajo).
“What would happen if one woman told the truth about her life?
The world would split open.” Muriel Rukeyser.
Imagine now, what happens when we all start sharing our stories? The power it has on those who feel isolated in their own experiences, and suddenly realize they are not alone!.
That is why I decided to donate this illustration to a project looking to share the stories of 4 women (mine included 🙋🏻‍♀️) and how they all used their creativity to reclaim their lives after experiencing sexual violence.
The architect in me, could not help but to imagine the section of a brown stone apartment building in New York, where all these women live and unbeknownst to them they all share similar stories.
What happens to you when you hear other people stories? What do you see in this image? 🤓.4 PISOS.

About LRW

Here is a little bit about me and this project: In my home country of Venezuela, I chose to study Architecture because it offered balance and versatility between science and art. The possibility to explore the world through the lens of design thinking propelled my own desire to create.

Many years later and after a long "on & off" relationship with yoga, I finally decided to dive deep into my practice, so I took a 200HR RYT because I was experiencing first hand its healing capabilities. Paradoxically the more I connected with my body, the sicker I got. By 2016 despite of what doctors would say, I was not only experiencing chronic exhaustion but I was constantly under antibiotics due to all sorts of infections. By mid-year, I got diagnosed with CIN 3 (cervical pre-cancer) that developed in a matter of 6 months. This triggered, by far, the worst health crisis I have ever experienced physically, emotionally and spiritually. It is at this precise moment in my life, when I decided to embark on a journey to heal a 20 year struggle with depression and the aftermath of a childhood trauma.

I'd like to invite you to come along as I share my journey of how my relentless curiosity and passion for creativity, helped me navigate my way back to reclaiming my body, my mind, and my spirit. My mission is to give hope to anyone who might be going through something similar, and widen the conversation on mental health, healing depression, and understanding trauma.

The name of this project was born of the three initial characters that emerged within my imagination during a series of EMDR sessions with my therapist, as a response to better cope with the impact of long time repressed memories of child sexual abuse, and its connection to my depression.
