Fitness Friday at Foundations of Freedom 💪

Strong bodies help build strong minds. For the men in our program, fitness isn’t just exercise—it’s a healthy outlet, a confidence builder, and a reminder that change is always possible.

Recovery is about building a new life—and that includes healthy habits. The gym gives our guys a positive outlet, a chance to challenge themselves, and a place where hard work turns into confidence.

Proud of the effort being put in every day. One day, one workout, one step forward at a time. 💙

From Rock Bottom to Redemption. ✨

When Marc came to Foundations of Freedom a little over a year ago, he was at the end of his rope. Addiction had left him homeless, broken, and out of his children’s lives. He knew deep down that if something didn’t change, his next stop was going to be jail or the grave.

Thankfully, a friend told him about FOF. Marc took a leap of faith, made the call, and committed to the work. He didn’t just go through the motions; he applied himself and dove into the curriculum headfirst.

Today, we get to celebrate a different man.

One year later, Marc stands tall—not only as a redeemed child of God, but as a father who is present in his kids’ lives, a leader in his church, and a mentor to other men walking the same path he once did.

Marc, your strength and dedication are an inspiration to us all. Happy one year. We’re proud of you. 💙

Another powerful Sunday night at Foundations of Freedom. 🙌

A huge thank you to Gary for sharing his story and dropping a truth bomb that resonated with the whole room: the most dangerous anger is the kind we keep locked up inside.

It’s a good reminder that our goal isn’t to become superheroes. It’s not about perfection. It’s about showing up as we are, being honest about where we’re at, and committing to the work, day by day.

One day at a time. That’s how we build real growth and earn real freedom. 💪

At Foundations of Freedom, recovery is only the beginning — rebuilding a life is the goal. 🎯

Today one of our men stepped out with confidence, a fresh resume, the right attire, and the courage to walk into a job interview. We work closely with the men in our program to help them prepare for opportunities like this — from building resumes to learning the interview process and presenting themselves professionally.

Recovery opens doors, and meaningful work helps keep them open.

Let’s all wish him the best as he takes this next step. We think he looks the part! 💼

Last night was unforgettable! 🛡️✝️ BSF Bible Study took a little ‘field trip’ so David’s grandparents could be part of his baptism. From studying Genesis to the Great Commission, hearts came together, and it all led to this beautiful public step of faith—just as Matthew 28 calls us to. Seeing family, friends, and faith unite like this reminds us why we do what we do.

“I’m home.” -David J

“I was alone — every bridge burned and no place that felt like home.

My family couldn’t tolerate the unpredictable storm that came with my presence. I was constantly in and out of ERs from overdoses. Multiple jobs a year for 10 years. Never belonging. Never around the same group of people for more than a month.

Every blessing, generosity, and courtesy given to me — I threw away. I didn’t appreciate anyone or anything.

But today, as I look out my window here at FoF, I’m relaxed.

My brothers in the program give me strength. There’s warmth in a fresh meal and pleasant conversation shared over the triumph and growth we experience every day.

My family now welcomes me with open arms and wide smiles. I get to visit my grandmother in her final days, and she’s finally at peace knowing I’m safe and where I belong.

I’ve held my job longer than I ever have before — and they hold me in high regard. My church considers me an important member.

And every night when I walk through the doors of FoF…

All I can say is — I’m home.”

Today we celebrate David’s completion of the Foundations of Freedom Program.

David, we are incredibly proud of you. Welcome home.

To everyone who supports this mission — thank you. Your support makes stories like this possible.

🔥 Strong & Triumphant

From addiction to discipline.
From broken to building.
From surviving to STRONG.

Sobriety isn’t just about quitting something — it’s about replacing it with something better.
The gym becomes therapy.
The weights become accountability.
The progress becomes proof.

This is what freedom looks like. 💪

Two of our men from Foundations of Freedom have chosen to be baptized — a public declaration of the new life they are walking in. 🙌

Baptism is more than a moment. It’s a testimony. It’s a line drawn in the sand. It’s a decision to leave the old life behind and step fully into freedom.

Addiction once tried to define their story. It whispered lies about identity, worth, and destiny. But today, we celebrate the truth: freedom is possible. Chains are broken. Hope is alive. And new life is here.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

We honor their courage. We honor their obedience. And we rejoice in the freedom they are choosing — not just freedom from addiction, but freedom for purpose, faith, and a future filled with hope.

Join us in celebrating these two men as they step into the waters and rise into new life.

Freedom looks good on you, brothers. 👏

We asked our men what they’d say to someone watching this who feels too far gone for recovery.🎙️

Almost every answer pointed to the same truth: it’s never too late for God to rewrite your story. 🙌

If you’re still breathing, there’s still hope.

And if this is you — don’t stay silent. 🗣️
Tell someone. Call someone. DM someone. Reach out for help.

You are not too far gone. 💙

Last night at Foundations of Freedom, Ron Armstrong brought a word that truly hit home for all of us. 💡

He prayed that the conviction of the Spirit would become so strong that we couldn’t help but turn back to God immediately. Not condemnation — but that honest moment when you know it’s time to let something go and fully surrender.

Then he challenged us to pray about the “taste.”
The pull toward the things we know aren’t good for us — the drink, the drug, the old habits, the old mindset. He encouraged us to ask God to remove that taste completely… to bring us to a place where we simply don’t want it anymore.

So this has been our prayer:
“Lord, take the taste for anything that pulls us away from You. Replace it with a hunger for what is good, pure, and life-giving.”

At Foundations of Freedom, we believe lasting sobriety is built on spiritual renewal, accountability, and daily surrender. Freedom isn’t just about what we leave behind — it’s about who we become.

If you or someone you love is ready for a new beginning, you don’t have to walk it alone. 🙏
