Here is your reminder that an eye exam is much more than just an evaluation for glasses or contacts. A complete medical eye exam should be done once a year.

After experiencing a persistent ‘semi-dead spot’ in his vision, Tom Pierce headed to an eye exam for the first time ever. In his 30s, he assumed it was simply a normal part of aging.

It is so straightforward and easy to do these treatments and the flexibility to treat MGD and Aesthetics seamlessly is amazing! I also enjoyed getting Tixel’d myself! I was really excited when I heard the topic was going to be conjunctivochalasis (CCH), something I think more of us need to be talking about.

👉 For those not familiar, CCH is when the thin membrane over the white of the eye gets loose or wrinkled. It’s a common cause of tearing, irritation, and that “something in my eye” feeling that often gets missed or mistaken for dry eye.

We discussed:
👁️ When it’s time to treat CCH
🛠️ What options are available (some are quick and in-office!)
💬 How to explain this condition clearly to patients

What an incredible honor to present on the main stage at Vision Expo West!

I had the privilege of delivering 4 hours of optometric continuing education (CE) on refractive surgery to a room full of engaged and passionate fellow optometrists.
