I'm a wife and Mom of 2 littles who works full time outside the home. After the birth of each of my babies I struggled to find myself again and feel good in my body. This past year I've been on a personal transformation to get healthy in mind, body, spirit, and relationships. If you're looking to do the same and want encouragement, accountability, support, and ideas reach out to me and we'll do it together!

Split Pea and Ham soup. So good and packed with proteins and fiber!! I just made Pioneer Woman’s recipe…Google it 😆. But even without the ham you’ll still get almost 15g of protein just from the peas. Enjoy!!

Let’s talk Hormones baby!!! I started over a year ago with just Estradiol. Then I added in Progesterone (my level was Zero). And then most recently the Testosterone. This is a journey y’all. Trial and error. Find a Dr that will listen to you, that will run the right labs, and will help you feel your best!!

Time with family. Pretty nails. Walks outside. Making and baking fresh bread 🥖. Hearty and delicious soup. This is what weekends are made of.

My super simple bedtime routine. I start with my Yogi “Bedtime” tea. I’ve tried a lot of bedtime/sleep teas and this one is my favorite. I put magnesium lotion on my legs. It helps with muscle soreness and calms restless legs. I take my packet of Calm. This has been a true game changer to my sleep. And I do some stretching and breathing exercises before climbing into bed. Nothing too serious, after my tea it takes about 5 minutes but sets me up for a night of sleep which is super important for my crazy perimenopausal body.

My kids and I LOVE banana bread, but depending on your recipe it can be pretty un-healthy! So here’s how I make it healthiER without sacrificing taste.

The recipe I use calls for 1 3/4 C flour. I do 1C AP flour and then 3/4 Whole Wheat flour. Whole wheat flour is richer in fiber, vitamins, and minerals than white flour.

Really let those bananas get brown!! The more aged the banana the more sweet it is, so you can reduce the amount of sugar.

I add pecans or walnuts, whichever I happen to have, for added protein and a healthy fat.

Consider using Greek yogurt as a partial replacement for butter, as it adds moisture and protein.

Trust me, my kids didn’t even notice when I started making these changes. They just gobble it up!!

Here’s how I make my Sloppy Joes healthiER.
🍖 I use ground venison when we have it, but you can use a lean ground beef or even ground turkey.
🫑 I add onion, bell pepper, celery, sometimes carrot, and garlic. Dice it up nice and fine (or even purée it) if you think it will bother picky eaters.
🍞 Most times I skip the bun or choose a whole wheat bun instead.

You don’t have to skip out on the foods you enjoy. Look for healthier swaps that don’t sacrifice taste.
