✨AHA vs. BHA — What’s the Difference? ✨
If you’ve ever stared at skincare labels wondering “okay…but which one do I need?”
Here’s your quick breakdown 👇
✨ AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid)
Think surface smoothers.
They work on the top layer of your skin to brighten, even tone, and soften texture.
Great for:
• Dullness
• Dry or flaky skin
• Fine lines
• Pigmentation
(Examples: glycolic acid, lactic acid)
✨ BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid)
Think pore cleaners.
They dive inside the pores to break down oil and clear congestion.
Great for:
• Oily skin
• Blackheads
• Acne-prone skin
• Clogged pores
(Example: salicylic acid)
💡 Quick Tip:
Dry or textured? Try AHAs.
Oily or breakout-prone? Try BHAs.
Combination? Many people use both!!
Just alternate days so you don’t over-exfoliate!
