Sometimes the best part of the trip is the day you stay in. 🌲✨

When a cabin is this good, you don’t leave. We spent our final 24 hours in North Georgia soaking in every single detail of , and it was the reset we didn’t know we needed. 🛁🔥

Here’s how we spent the ultimate slow day:
🕹️ Morning competition in the game room
🧖‍♀️ Hot tub & sauna rotation
🍿 Afternoon movie with custom popcorn flavors (shoutout to the best owners!)
🛁 One last soak in the massive master tub
🌊 Late lunch by the river
🔥 Golden hour by the outdoor fire pit
🎬 Ending the night with a movie by the master suite fireplace

If Day 3 was a dream, don’t wake me up. 🌲✨

I think we found the perfect rhythm in N GA. From slow mornings by the river to sunset views over downtown, Ellijay really has it all. ⛰️🛶

Here’s exactly how we spent the day:
🍳 Breakfast at — nothing beats a homemade egg casserole in a kitchen that actually has everything you need! 🏡
🍔 Lunch at River Street Tavern — PSA: The fish and crab dip is life-changing, and you can’t skip their award-winning burgers. 🤤
🔥 Afternoon reset — Firewood prep and peaceful river walks back at the cabin. The sound of the water is the ultimate therapy. 🌊
🌅 Dinner at — Watching the sunset over downtown while eating shrimp and grits? 10/10 experience. 🍤🥂
🍫 Finishing the night the only way we know how: S’mores by the fire and a deep soak in the tub. 🛁✨

Saving this itinerary for the next time I need to disappear into the mountains. 🏔️📌

You won’t believe how we ended Day 2! 🎞️🍿

We started our morning slow at Fern Haven Hideaway listening to the river 🌊☕️... before the kids took over the game room! 👾🎮

Lunch was at Cantaberry (where we 100% planned our meal around the cake 🍰) followed by holiday shopping in Downtown Ellijay. The Christmas vibes are immaculate right now! 🎄✨

We vibed to live music at Reece’s Cider Co. 🍎🎸 then wrapped up the night in the best way possible...

A DRIVE-IN MOVIE! 🚘🌌 It felt like stepping back in time. Such a core memory for the kids.

Update: I have officially tested out retirement for 2 weeks and I am highly qualified for the position. 🙋‍♀️

Having everyone home together—especially having B around for the last month—has been the ultimate soul-refresher. Sending her back to school felt way too soon!

On a scale of 1 to “I need another nap,” how are we feeling about being back to reality today? ☕️✨

Day 1 of the Road Trip Series 🚗💨 We planned the whole trip around this room. Comment “FERN” for a discount to stay here too.

Welcome to our North Georgia road trip! When we started mapping this out, we made a strategic decision: the accommodation couldn’t just be a place to sleep—it had to be the destination.

Enter Fern Haven Hideaway in Ellijay.

We literally built the itinerary around the Master Suite. We’re talking about a private fireplace at the foot of the bed, a soaking tub made for decomposing after a long drive, and a private balcony that hangs directly over the Ellijay River.

We checked in, unpacked, and honestly… we might not leave this cabin much this week. The sound of the river is unmatched.

Day 3 of our Orlando Christmas Quest and we might have found a winner! 🏆✨

We started at EPCOT for the Festival of the Holidays! 🌎 The holiday pop-ups in each country are iconic, but Living with the Land definitely wins for the best holiday overlay in the park. It’s a total vibe! 💡🌱

For lunch, we went to Sugar Factory at Icon Park. If you want “over the top,” this is it! 🍭 They have a full Christmas menu right now—the drinks and shakes are massive, so grab the squad because you’ll definitely want to share. 🎅🍦

But the real shocker? SeaWorld. 🐬❄️ Honestly, this might be the best value in Orlando. All the holiday magic is included in your ticket: ✨ The stunning Sea of Trees walk 🦌 Meeting Rudolph & Friends 🎭 O Wondrous Night (The most beautiful retelling of the Christmas story!) ⛸️ The best ice skating show we’ve ever seen 🎆 Fireworks synchronized to dancing Christmas trees!

Between the Epcot traditions and the SeaWorld magic... which one gets your vote? 🗳️👇

Don’t book your Orlando Christmas trip until you see this! 🎄✨ We are on a 3-day mission to settle the debate: Which park actually has the best holiday vibes?

First stop: Magic Village Views, Trademark Collection by Wyndham. 🛌 Having a full villa just minutes from the gates is a total game-changer (goodbye, cramped hotel rooms!).

Day 1 is all about Hollywood Studios. 🎬 The Tower of Terror projections are 10/10, and don’t even get me started on the Christmas scarf on Rex in Toy Story Land. 🦖🧣

But is it enough to win the crown? 👑 Come back for Day 2 to see our next two parks!
