At Antifragile Tarot, I draw from the concept of antifragility, or things that grow stronger from disarray and stress (a concept created by Nassim Nicholas Taleb). For the past 13 years, I have been using tarot as a tool to help myself and others grow stronger and find clarity on tough situations. I am not a spiritual reader, nor do I claim to be a psychic or to have any particular skills other than years of working with tarot cards and studying them. Tarot readings, as I see them, are like having a conversation with a friend about a situation. They may not know everything, but they can help provide confirmation or a perspective you had not considered. When you ask for a reading, we will work out a question or situation to read about and I will explain each card in depth, as well as how they connect. Whether we do a simple three-card spread of a complex Celtic Cross, you will come away from a reading with a better understanding of yourself or the situation, whether or not you particularly like what you and I see in the cards. I encourage all clients to research any and all cards that come up on their own. Maybe you will see something in a card that I missed!

this isn't how I planned to come out of hiatus, but here we are. I've been missing tarot and all of you so much, and here's a great way to dip my toe in the water. my friend's cat has an emergency critical care vet stay happening now, and to help raise funds I am offering a one card reading for any donation of $10 or more. screenshot your donation and message me to claim it. link is in my story and comments! It is with a lot of mixed emotions that I am declaring myself on hiatus. Those of you who have been following for a long time know that the last two years have made it increasingly difficult for me to focus on AFT due to the demands of ER nursing. I have also had a lot of personal work to do, including starting antidepressants. I will always love tarot and I still intend to publish more podcast episodes and do the occasional in person event, but I can't keep up with the work required to run an online business at this time. Hopefully that will change at some point, but as of right now, I need to remove some of the wands from the bundle I'm carrying and this is one of the only ones I can drop without much fallout. You can always reach me by emailing me, and I will come back. This is a goodbye for now, not forever.

I know it's been a long time since I've posted but I thought I'd share something fun! Mr. Antifragile asked me to pick numbers for the Mega Millions. I did one round of personally meaningful numbers and then used my cards to choose, assigning "numbers" to the minor arcana (ordering the minor arcana from Wands > Cups > Swords > Pentacles). I have no illusions about winning anything, but you know I love to play with cards in ways outside of the usual.

today reminded me of why I love reading cards for people. it was really hard to show up during the day as a night shift gremlin, but between the repeat customers, followers who've never met me before, first timers, tourists, and friends, I had the best day. did it again.

Did a little mini reading for myself today. This does kind of sum it up: I feel stuck, like I'm not using my resources well and burning out towards changes I have little control over and can't guarantee. (Also, you see why I don't want to read for myself ever???)

That feeling is part of why I've been so radio silent. I miss podcasting and connecting with you all. I promise I have more to share, more to give, more to do. But right now, I'm giving everything I can do my patients, my coworkers, and my closest loved ones. But I'll always have more for me, in the words of Tegan and Sara.
