October is National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month
This month is dedicated to raising awareness about depression and highlighting the importance of accessible, affordable mental health screenings.
Depression doesn’t always look the same. It can show up as fatigue, irritability, low motivation, changes in sleep or appetite, or simply feeling disconnected. It can affect anyone — at any time — and often involves a combination of genetic, psychological, biological, and environmental factors.
That’s why mental health screenings matter. Early identification and professional support can make a meaningful difference. Depression is a highly treatable condition, and there are many effective paths toward healing — but the first step is often talking to someone and getting screened.
You don’t have to have all the answers to take the next step.
Support is available. Treatment works. You’re not alone.
This October, let’s reduce stigma, promote education, and encourage meaningful check-ins — with ourselves and each other.
