Thank you to Dr. Michael Williams, emergency care physician at Willis Knighton Health in Bossier City, LA, for providing the best rotation for SD Liz Duplechain!

SD Duplechain said, β€œHe was a great preceptor with a show one, do one style. He is the Director of the ED and introduced me to other doctors, nurses, and staff who were equally as amazing! I’m going to carry the skills I learned there with me forever!”

We appreciate you, Dr. Williams!πŸ™Œ

This we are highlighting our Mental Health Ambassadors within the COM! These student doctors have been trained to listen, support, & make sure no one walks this journey alone!πŸ’š

Ambassador Karley Bloesch said this about why mental health in medical school is so important:

β€œTaking care of your mental health in medical school isn’t just about feeling better, it’s essential for staying focused and learning effectively. If we learn habits now to take care of our mental health, we can carry that with us into our careers and be able to better serve our patients.”

Your wellbeing matters! Please reach out to an ambassador or one of our licensed, on site counselors today if you need help.🧠😊
