At Bella Kai, we offer barre classes designed to strengthen, tone, and awaken your body—while helping you find true alignment in every movement. Whether you’re looking to build endurance, release tension, or move with intention, our classes combine strength, flexibility, and mindfulness to leave you feeling balanced, renewed, and fully aligned.

💃 BARRE
Barre fitness is a low-impact, full-body workout that combines ballet, Pilates, and yoga to build strength, flexibility, and posture. Small, controlled, high-repetition movements using the barre (plus light weights, resistance bands, or exercise balls) sculpt your body, tone your muscles, and improve endurance—all while focusing on proper form and core engagement.

⚡ BIIT & RELEASE
Start with 30 minutes of Barre Intensity Interval Training (BIIT) to elevate your heart rate and challenge your muscles, then flow into 20 minutes of deep stretches to lengthen, recover, and restore flexibility. It’s the perfect balance of sweat and serenity.

🌿 BARRE & UNWIND

✨ Meet Our Studio Owner, Kalia Kohut ✨

The magic behind Bella Kai begins with Kalia — a lifelong mover, healer, and heart-centered guide. With over 25 years in the healing arts and more than two decades of dance instruction, Kalia brings deep wisdom of the body, movement, and energy to everything she does.

Introduced to The Original Hot Yoga, 26+2 series in 2021, Kalia fell in love with its rhythmic precision and profound healing effects — a practice that mirrors her dance roots and her passion for transformation. She went on to earn her Hot Yoga 26+2 Teacher Certification with Evolation Yoga in 2022, and by 2023, she lovingly stepped into her role as Bella Kai’s studio owner.

Kalia’s faith is a guiding light in her life and the foundation of how she leads, serves, and creates community at Bella Kai. When she’s not in the studio, you can find her sunbathing in Kailua, swimming in the ocean, reading the Bible, or spending time at Bible Study or Church alongside her husband, Chris, and their tuxedo kitty, Puka. 🌞

We’re endlessly grateful for the light and leadership she brings to our Bella Kai ‘ohana. 💛

Cathy is a current Bella Kai member and practitioner who has experienced the benefits of combining our hot yoga with strength training classes. Here’s what she shared about her journey:

I recommend Bella Kai because the studio offers various exercise classes and hot yoga. I personally believe taking a strength training class along with hot yoga will strengthen one’s core along with detoxifying one’s skin. I personally have noticed smoother skin after a couple of months of classes without even realizing it at the time.

Taking hot yoga classes has given me strength and flexibility with my body. Another benefit is losing weight and maintaining the weight loss.

Our Story

We are a boutique hot yoga studio located on the windward side of the beautiful island of Oahu - committed to supporting our community. Bikram yoga is suitable for all levels from beginner practitioners to advanced. Comprised of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises performed in a heated room, we offer both 60 minute and 90 minute classes, barre classes and other non heated yoga classes such as iRest Yoga Nidra, Restorative and Yin. Our barre class is a mix of ballet moves, pilates, circuit training and core work. No previous dance or fitness experience necessary! All barre classes are 60 minutes.
