Good Grief Camp Welcome to Good Grief Group and Camp
Offering quality bereavement services and events for those in Montana suffering from loss.

We are devoted to supporting individuals through the expression and healing of grief since 2014. Good Grief Camp is for children ages 6-12 years old who have lost a loved one. At camp the kids get to meet other kids who understand what they have gone through. Through out camp the kids have the opportunity to "get their feelings out" while memorializing their loved one through a variety of fun therapeutic actives.

At Good Grief Camp, our volunteers are the heart behind everything we do. They show up with compassion, kindness, and a willingness to walk alongside grieving kids and families in the moments that matter most. This community is built on people who care deeply — and it shows.

We need your help!

Join us for our Good Grief Group Volunteer Brainstorming Pizza Meeting and discover easy, flexible ways to get involved—whether you have a little time or a lot.

Help with:
- Fundraising & event planning
- Outreach and spreading the word
- Organizing and packing camp supplies
- Loading and returning camp equipment

When: Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 6:00 PM
Where: Gateway Community Center – Unit 26
(East entrance, north end of the building)
Pizza will be provided!

At Good Grief Camp, we know that healing doesn’t happen alone. It happens when we connect with others who truly understand—through laughter, art, outdoor adventures, and heartfelt conversations around the campfire.

These moments remind us: Grief is heavy, but sharing it with friends who ‘get it’ makes the load a little lighter. Whether it’s building memories, expressing feelings through music or crafts, or just being a kid again in nature’s embrace, every camper leaves with new tools, new friends, and hope.

On December 29th, our Good Grief Holiday Camp was filled with connection, courage, and care. Campers spent the day learning and laughing together through grief-informed activities like Jeopardy, where we talked openly about big feelings and healthy ways to process them. We partnered with Hug Rocks to paint and share messages of hope—small reminders that none of us are alone and that kindness can travel far beyond our walls.

Of course, no Good Grief Camp is complete without fun games, sports, amazing food, and plenty of snacks, creating space for joy alongside healing. We closed the day the way we always do—with an honoring ceremony for the loved ones we’ve lost, followed by singing and dancing as a community because you should never process grief alone. Together, we held space for grief, love, and remembrance, supporting one another every step of the way.

We are so excited to be partnering with Hug Rocks for our Holiday Grief Camp on Dec 29th from 10-4 in Kalispell. One of our activities at this camp will be to create your very own Hug Rock, for you to share with the world to spread some joy and kindness to those who may need it.

We love coming together in our community, to bring joy to those who need it.

✨ We loved spreading extra warmth and holiday cheer at the Whitefish Christmas Stroll! ✨

We had the merriest time sipping hot cocoa, chatting with wonderful new faces, and hugging so many familiar campers and volunteers who stopped by to say hello! Nothing brightens the season like coming together as a community, even in the midst of grief.

Thank you, Whitefish, for welcoming us with open arms and helping us share the message that no one has to grieve alone. Whether you’re missing someone this Christmas or just needed a little light in the dark, we’re here for you.

Join us for the 2025 Good Grief Holiday Camp on December 29 from 10 am to 4 pm in Kalispell.

This free day camp welcomes individuals and families of all ages to come together, create, and find support through grief.
