So as some of you may know I was contemplating going back to doing massage and reiki, then I back out. Well I have officially decided that for me to heal from my loss, I need to heal others! So Whispering Pines Massage and Reiki is back! I am accepting appointments for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays. WD hours 6-8, Saturday 11 - 3. Sciatic Pain and Piriformis Syndrome

Sciatic pain flares up when the sciatic nerve roots in your lower back are pinched or irritated. Massage therapy can loosen the muscles in your lower back and help prevent or relieve pinching and/or irritation.

Massage can provide temporary relief from symptoms like the throbbing pain in your foot or the burning sensation in your leg.

Piriformis syndrome occurs when the piriformis muscle irritates the sciatic nerve. Sciatica can be described by pain, tingling, or numbness deep in the buttocks and along the sciatic nerve. Sitting down, stretching, climbing stairs, and performing squats usually increases pain. If diagnosed with piriformis syndrome, massage therapy has been shown to help.
