Great time at the Farm. So sad I missed the boots-on-the-ground Fish fry last Sunday. Next Sunday gun safety and self-defense. I'll check that out.

There was a goat that befriended me, but I warned him that he reminded me of curry, so he left.

I can get my dry herbs from them. They also custom blend teas.

The whole family is helpful and friendly!0

Day 2 of Shifting the Narrative
Honoring Black fathers who built a family legacy.

Oscar W. Colley is honored by one of his daughters, Yvonne Rankine. This is another family I've known for several decades, and have seen the love of family passed down. The family connection is shared through love, and it extends to in-laws and friends.

Read This! Will talk about the myths and the men who are doing the positive work!
The Myth of the Absent Black Father.
I have always had a problem with this narrative. As a daddy's girl, to the marrow, and someone who had friends with active fathers. The youngest of 7 children, seeing by brothers with their children. Now, I see my nieces' husbands actively engaged and my nephews being actively engaged. I have always wondered if the narrative was fact or fiction. (Don't get me wrong; I know the other side also exists.) My question is whether that truly is the largest part of our population.
Author Rodney Edward Freeman Jr. mentioned this very same information in our interview and the research he found. " Black Male Archive"
Author J. A. Faulkerson- works directly with Fathers teaching skills. We speak about his system " COACH" from his book "Real Men Raise Champions."
Author Kwame McPherson - Because male mental health is also an undiscussed topic, we cover that with " My Date With Depression.
Author Derrick Jackson Rounds out the conversations with his novel "Shadow One," a spy thriller with a love story twist!

I love what I do, I get to share topics and stories that aren't on the algorithm's radar. However, your support is critical because our positive stories aren't algorithm-friendly!

Welcome to May and Mother's Day!
We are all in stages of connection with our moms here and in the heavenly! Diandra's story is about losing two women who were her wings and the wind beneath them, back to back. We talk about resilience, but it only appears during trouble and hardship. This is a beautiful story about resilience. Diandra embodies the Red Bird, the symbol of her comfort.

Today is my mother's birthday. Nineteen years ago, she started celebrating in the heavens. I dedicate this interview to her today!
