My routine has been “off” pretty much since March...hello quarantine...but even more “off” since Drake broke his arm and our sleep and evening routine in general became a ❗️Then last week he got his pins and cast removed and we are back to having a different routine in the evenings. Time to 💫

I’m also between program on BOD which can make things feel a little wonky 🥴 I really enjoyed the program I did with Travis a few months ago, so in the interim of waiting for the new BOD program, I’ve been doing another program that is a style with and I 💜 it!

So my next will be to get my morning routine conquered again and slowly attack my nutrition. Nothing crazy but I need an adequate amount of protein and fiber. So I’m putting it here for because it works! 💪🏼👊🏼🤙🏼

My nutrition has been way OFF lately and I can feel it 💯% in the gym! And my digestion has been a wreck too, so after that brutal in the gym, I’m jumping back on track in the food nutrition department.

✨Feelin’ good, just like I should!✨

It’s amazing what a little bit of a routine can do for a person. I actually got up when my alarm clock went off this morning. ⏰ I had a small breakfast 🍳, and my energize⚡️ and then got my workout💪🏼 done all before 8am! Plus sprinkle in a shower🚿 and some makeup💄...brand new person!

This week has challenged me in more than one way! Specifically mentally, I’m spent! I’m guessing I’m not alone!

It’s multi-factorial. I usually do a decent job being positive, or flipping the flow when I’m being fussy, but this week feels exceptionally heavy!

I won’t go into specifics bc nobody wants to read my diary but the surface crap is negativity, sadness over nearby events, job (or lack thereof) stress, chronically ill friends, separation of marriages all over the place and of course the elephant in the room, COVID. I especially hate that we are still having to discuss the ifs, ands, or buts about it.

The fact is that it’s easy to allow fear to take over and focus on the negativity that surrounds us every. single. day!

I have to be very intentional about recognizing when I’m allowing this to happen. Yesterday it hit me square in the face...I realized I had allowed my quiet time to become relaxed and unintentional 💡🤔

So today I woke up early, enjoyed a small cup off coffee and read my bible and restarted my list of ✨ It seriously makes all the difference for me.

Today I will per my usual and focus on the joy in the small things...the beauty in the mess! Because it’s there, I promise. Ya just have to look for it. 🧐

☀️Cold Brew Coffee Tutorial☀️

I always get asked about my cold brew coffee when I share it, so I thought I’d post about it to let you know that I saved it all to a highlight. Including the Starbucks sweet cream recipe.

This all started for me during quarantine. I would occasionally treat myself with a beverage and could not longer do so bc all the starbs were closed. Sooo, I started making my own. And I’ll venture to say I kinda like mine better AND it’s a lot more cost effective! ☕️ 💰 Not to mention, I use fat-free half & half, so saving on calories too!

It’s super simple to do and I’ve actually noticed that the cold brew doesn’t bother my belly as bad. I had gotten to where I rarely drank (hot)coffee and if I did, maybe a half a cup. It just seemed so acidic. 😖The cold brew hasn’t done that! Cold brew is also great for traveling bc ya don’t need a coffee pot! 🥳

So even though most mornings I have my to get me going, I do occasionally treat myself to a homemade cold brew coffee and it’s ahhh so good!! 🙌🏼😍

Reminder for others like me that can get stuck focusing on the number on the scale...it’s just ONE tool to help measure change! And the scale itself can be a big ole liar! ⚖️

LEG DAY burn is REAL!! 🔥🔥🔥 specifically glutes and quads!
I’ve decided to switch things up the month of June and I’m doing a lifting sesh with It’s one of the beauties of my streaming programs...I can press play or pause anytime.
I’ll post some progress pics soon. I’m anxious to see what kind of results I see with this lifting and by dialing in my nutrition 💯

I just flipped the switch...but not like everyone else on TikTok. 🤘🏼
I had been doing our Barre program for the last 3 weeks. I enjoyed the different kind of burn 🔥 it delivered but it was just not me. It wasn’t a “step outta your comfort zone” issue either. It was just that I wasn’t looking forward to my workout each day! And that’s no fun. Why are it harder for ourselves, right?!
So, I switched it up. That’s one thing I love about BB streaming options. There are 800+ options. One for everyone. So, I started The Prep today. And it’s a straight forward lifting program. Basic movements. 10 reps, 4 moves and repeat. LOVE it!! I can’t wait to see what results this program brings. 💪🏼🦾💪🏼
I will be taking measurements and before pictures. It’s about to get real! Nutrition too. And I can’t wait!
I’ll add videos in a bit that show the moves of today’s .

Whoa...wait! No yoga pants today?! Nope! I actually got myself dressed today! With real jeans, shirt and even a little hair and makeup! Not gonna lie...its kinda nice! 😬 I’m sure you’ve all seen the about trying on your jeans occasionally while in quarantine just to make sure they fit 🤣👖🤣 Scroll down ⬇️⬇️ to see the meme...I thought I’d give it a whirl today! And PTL, they still fit! 🎉🤩👍🏼
In all honesty, ever since I started staying home more and working less (about 1.5 yrs ago), I have found that if I’m feeling a little extra lazy, it helps for me to get “dressed” for the day! For some reason it puts a little extra pep in my step and I am usually, at least a little, more productive. 💃🏻
Today I needed that. Even with having a day of celebration yesterday with the turning 6, it was a chaotic, stressful day and I didn’t get as much done as I would like. As in, we only did the minimum and I was okay with that, but wanted to get more done today because we have a virtually busy evening tonight and I work Friday...soooo, I gave my method a test! So far, so good! 👍🏼
Anyone else have any tricks such as this that helps them be a little more productive? Another example...when the kids aren’t home for school and I deep clean, 🎶MUSIC IS LOUD! 🎶
