We have been talking about the alignment of the pelvis. If you are excessively anterior tipped, it can lead to back pain (due to the compression of the lumbar spine) and contributes to muscle imbalances and hip pain.
4 Major Muscle Groups need attention:

ABOVE THE PELVIS:
The Back Muscles (paraspinals/ Erector Spinae) need to be released
The Abdominals need to be strengthened

BELOW THE PELVIS:
The Quads need to be released
The Hamstrings need to be strengthened

Most of the women I work with- and even I, myself, have an anterior tipped pelvis. While a slight anterior tip is normal, more extreme tips can cause muscle balance issues and result in pain. My biggest frustration is that there are not enough hours in the day to help all of the people I would like to help.

I can't teach enough hours- and some people can't get to me at the studio.

I also have clients who travel quite a bit and can not make it to the studio every week.

Or I have new clients who are just learning and they would like more help in between sessions.

I was on a training call last night and the instructor challenged us to think about each day differently
Instead of making your list of things you have to do, think about how you want to show up and BE each day.
Today, as I reflect on my day, I got to be some pretty cool things!
I was the wife who took care of her hubby by driving him to the airport.
I was the cheerleader and challenger of my clients.
I was a listening ear.
I was a strong body to lift a friend.
I was a creative teacher working on my lessons.
And so much more. I love this new way of thinking!
