This season might feel complicated.
For years, many of us showed up to holidays with tight chests, upset stomachs, and silent prayers saying,
“Maybe this year will be different.”
Not because we were celebrating.
But because we were surviving.
Pretending.
Choosing other people’s comfort over our own safety.
And when we finally stopped showing up,
the guilt was loud.
The conditioning was loud.
The voice that said “keep the family together” felt heavier than the truth.
But here’s the truth:
✨ You didn’t betray anyone.
✨ You stopped betraying yourself.
Holidays hit differently when you grew up in a home that didn’t feel safe.
They’re not always warm.
They can bring grief, anxiety, fear, confusion, hope, memories, and guilt—
all at the same time.
So if these holidays feel heavy, I’m holding space for you.
If you’re low contact, no contact, or emotionally distant to protect your peace….
You’re not wrong.
You’re not dramatic.
You’re not cold.
You’re not stuck in the past.
You’re healing! You’re opening your heart to God and Jesus!
And sometimes healing looks like:
• choosing peace over people
• choosing quiet over chaos
• choosing to finally give your inner child the calm, love, protection and respect they never receive.
• choosing to set boundaries with even the people close to you.
God sees your heart.
Jesus is not asking you to endure harm or pain to prove love.
He is peace.
He is safety.
He is love.
He is rest for the weary soul.
“If these days hurt, God is near to the brokenhearted.”
If yesterday, today or tomorrow feels freeing, heaven rejoices with you.
If it feels like both….that’s healing too.
You are not alone.
Not today.
Not ever.
🤍With love, healing and light
