Story time!
While vacationing in Hawaii I woke up every morning with the sun. One morning I decided to hike up one of the mountain trails to catch the sunrise.
Bear in mind, I’m an active person and always have been but I’m not a big runner. Like I’ll run a mile or two for cardio but have always said I could never run a half marathon or full marathon, that’s insane. Kudos to the people that can 👏🏻
Now, I was so excited to see the sunrise and do this hike that I ran pretty much the entire hike. Starting from my hotel to the top of the peak and back.
In total this took me about 3 hours. Once I got back I decided to figure out how far the whole trip was and discovered I had just done 10 miles, 4 of which were an uphill incline. I couldn’t believe it. I was SO proud of myself and felt amazing afterwards. I then realized, I probably could do a half marathon and if I really wanted to… a full marathon.
Often times we tell ourselves this story of what we can and can’t do. We limit ourselves by believing things that aren’t necessarily true. But when your heart is set on something and you WANT to do it, you will. Nothing can stop you.
So I’ll end my story with a question for you. Do you tell yourself a story that may not be true?
Are you limiting yourself with beliefs that may not best serve your highest self?
Just some food for thought.
As always, sending love and light 💫💛
