For those of you who don’t know yet Hope my lizard 🦎 passed away & joined Oscar 🦎 in heaven yesterday night from post op annurism complications. I brought him in wed eary am -he was gagging nonstop. The glue didn’t stick past a week that they tried… they planned to reglue it…but they just wouldn’t do it over thanksgiving. He suffered so much for that. Originally it worked great and he was bouncing back. Laurentiu & I did our best to comfort him as he crossed over. He deserves the best in heaven after what he endured. May God grant him that.

Dont even ask me how Rockit is going to feel without them there.
I sincerely cannot imagine a worst case scenario. But so many of you were so warm and loving to them both. I wanted to share. We are basically one big family.

I do believe in God and I do believe in heaven. I know he is restored to perfection with Oscar. But right now every place they were with me is just dark feeling and too still.

Thank you for always loving them w me.

I will resume normal posts soon. Rockit is closed today.

In hindsight, organizing files @ the shop would have been a good use of time but creating "unnecessary" artwork for Rockit won. When my Apple pencil is fully charged it’s just TOO exciting to not use. ✏️ ⏰ 🖼️ 🚀

Mini fun lesson - see the vertical lines on this pair of glasses? It’s a Fresnel prism stick on. It’s a super thin, flexible plastic sheet w prism grooves built in. It’s designed to be applied to the surface of lenses. It corrects double vision, or eye alignment problems by shifting the image seen by one eye so that it lines up with the other. Eye doctors often prescribe them for conditions like strabismus, cranial nerve palsies, or post-stroke vision issues. It can be trialed/applied temporarily to lenses and later a rx lens w the prism correction can be placed in more permanently. But in this case we are gonna add this to a second back up pair of glasses for a very sweet woman named Margaret.

A little known but available feature like unlocking a hidden level on your favorite video game. 🎮
I sometimes just spoil you w/ car side service for trips that don’t need lengthy store visits-as a way of saying thank you to everyone who tramples up the steps to my second floor storefront. You’re all rock stars to me. ❤️ x10000

Oscar the lizard entered Heaven today after a courageous kidney battle. Many of you knew her. Hope was able to say goodbye. ( the other lizard ) If Heaven is a place of restoration and pure bliss then my faith allows me to share with you that I believe God is taking care of her this very instant. And we will be reunited again. I am a horrible mix of sad and hopeful because I truly believe with all my heart that God loves her as much as me and prepared a special place for her until we all see the power of Heaven with our own eyes. I love you Oscar. With all my heart. ❤️ I hope Hope 🦎 will acclimate as well. They were best of buds and he was def in love with her. In lizard ways. I think animals know what’s going on with each other and instinctively know life doesn’t end here……

Sooooo…. One of my favorite things to do @ Rockit Optical… when you pick up your glasses…you usually get a take home gift bag….with essentials…. And non essentials… because why not. 😂
