Rockit thanks u all for this planted seed…So…I have always made donations to Tiny Hooves Animal Sanctuary on behalf of Rockit but your purchases have been upgraded in 2026 to MONTHLY support for the animals there! Thank u for coming to Rockit!!!! Takes a village….Right now it’s not a huge monthly amount as a guarenteed amount (baby steps) since business ebbs & flows but every little bit helps them & it’s exciting to start auto sending monthly. Rockit made THREE new friends 2day! CJ,Jr, (in pic) & GG. We shall call this photo: “The art of fitting old lenses into new frames when your sister throws toys @ you & breaks your glasses.”
(Needle in a haystack but found some munchkin frames that fit his lenses!)

Remember those days guys? Broken glasses from playing too hard? 😂
Childhood is still happening all around us no matter what state the world is in. ♥️

Update….not optical but worth a read:
Good morning….Your messages have all been so kind about the loss of Hope 🦎 ♥️ Thanks everyone so much.

Spent time w family & even church over weekend. That was the most helpful things I have done so far since Hope went to Heaven. BUT I’m trying to do all the right things so that I don’t have to stay stuck in this memory of him suffering.

I have some rules I gave myself..maybe sharing will help others in a sticky spot in life. Feel free to borrow them:

1. Do not stay home alone.
2. The shop is AWFULLL w/out them but it’s been neglected. Needs cleaning attention & future planning. So some energy has begun shifting there. Will likely expand some hours too.
3. Bible verses before I’m out of bed & throughout day.
4. Physical activity.
5. Community.
6. Random Kind acts for strangers/ places
7. Backburner Projects
8. Practice gratitude
9. Notice the spark of personality and spirit of people around me.

So far thats all I got. It ebbs & flows. But It’s got a running engine.

Thats the list. If any of you are dealing w hard life moments you can borrow It!!

Eventually we get to be in a better place with our animals & loved ones after this chapter of life on Earth. That’s worth looking forward to if nothing else. For as miserable as I can feel I don’t believe I was built to hold misery for long. I hope that encourages anyone else who might feel down and happens to read this.

For those of you who don’t know yet Hope my lizard 🦎 passed away & joined Oscar 🦎 in heaven yesterday night from post op annurism complications. I brought him in wed eary am -he was gagging nonstop. The glue didn’t stick past a week that they tried… they planned to reglue it…but they just wouldn’t do it over thanksgiving. He suffered so much for that. Originally it worked great and he was bouncing back. Laurentiu & I did our best to comfort him as he crossed over. He deserves the best in heaven after what he endured. May God grant him that.

Dont even ask me how Rockit is going to feel without them there.
I sincerely cannot imagine a worst case scenario. But so many of you were so warm and loving to them both. I wanted to share. We are basically one big family.

I do believe in God and I do believe in heaven. I know he is restored to perfection with Oscar. But right now every place they were with me is just dark feeling and too still.

Thank you for always loving them w me.

I will resume normal posts soon. Rockit is closed today.

In hindsight, organizing files @ the shop would have been a good use of time but creating "unnecessary" artwork for Rockit won. When my Apple pencil is fully charged it’s just TOO exciting to not use. ✏️ ⏰ 🖼️ 🚀

Mini fun lesson - see the vertical lines on this pair of glasses? It’s a Fresnel prism stick on. It’s a super thin, flexible plastic sheet w prism grooves built in. It’s designed to be applied to the surface of lenses. It corrects double vision, or eye alignment problems by shifting the image seen by one eye so that it lines up with the other. Eye doctors often prescribe them for conditions like strabismus, cranial nerve palsies, or post-stroke vision issues. It can be trialed/applied temporarily to lenses and later a rx lens w the prism correction can be placed in more permanently. But in this case we are gonna add this to a second back up pair of glasses for a very sweet woman named Margaret.
