Key Responsibilities
-Lead and manage nursing teams, ensuring optimal coordination of resident care across all shifts.
-Oversee clinical documentation, assessments, and care plans to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
-Partner closely with families to communicate resident needs, care goals, and progress with compassion and clarity.
-Monitor resident outcomes and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain the highest quality of care.
-Ensure regulatory compliance with state and federal guidelines, as well as internal policies and procedures.
-Coach, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff performance while fostering professional development and accountability.
-Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support departments to ensure comprehensive, coordinated resident care.
-Respond to emergencies, conduct rounds, and maintain a proactive presence on the unit to support residents and staff.
-Lead quality improvement initiatives that promote resident satisfaction and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
-Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington, in good standing.
-Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or long-term care environment.
-At least 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience managing clinical staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs).
-Proven ability to handle sensitive family communications and emotionally charged situations with professionalism and grace.
-Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-Strong understanding of care planning, MDS, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
-BSN degree or higher (strongly preferred).
Experience with state surveys, QAPI programs, and care coordination within skilled nursing settings.
-Demonstrated ability to build team culture, improve staff engagement, and maintain high clinical standards.
-Working knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) and documentation systems.
