FUN FACT FRIDAY!

It's National Oreo Cookie Day! I'm sure there are people out there going, "BuT oReOs HaVe NoThInG tO dO wItH sPeEcH oR mEnTaL hEaLtH!" Correct. But they're my favorite snack cookie so that's that.

It has been widely theorized (and somewhat confirmed) that an Oreo cookie takes about 59 minutes to make. The design consists of 90 ridges around the edge of the cookie, and a patterned face that has 12 flowers, 12 dots, and 12 dashes.
..and they're tasty. :)

Folks, we're kicking of the week with some great news! DLST is adding another mental health clinician to the team. Everyone, please say hi to the newest DLST team member, Katrina!

Katrina Cripps, LMSW (she/her), is a licensed clinical therapist and social worker. She graduated college and graduate school at Western Michigan University. She has experience and availability to work with children, teens, and adults. Her clinical specialties include trauma, mood/personality disorders, adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD/Autism Spectrum Disorders, and grief/bereavement.

As well as experience in mental health therapy in homebased, outpatient, inpatient settings, she also has extensive experience with case management & care coordinaton. She is available to meet with individuals who may be struggling with accessing resources in the community or families who need assistance applying for government assistance programs (Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, etc).

Katrina has immediately availability (woo hoo) for pediatric clients and adult clients, so if you have been looking for therapy services for either yourself or your child, contact us today.

Magee, one of Tami's service dogs in training, has come back to live with Tami forever! Unfortunately, Magee has lots of allergies that makes her unable to be a service dog. However, no allergy will stop her from joining Tami and Saffron at the office. We are so excited to have her back!
