Hey massage friends!

I wanted to pop in for a hello, health update and what that means for my business moving forward.

After a hospital visit, I finally have a diagnosis, a plan and a path forward. Where I’m at right now is trying to figure out a balance of medication that is enough to manage my seizures and has side effects that I can live with.

It’s been a wildly unexpected road, and I appreciate everyone’s understanding while I have been in “survival mode.”

I share these details because I really value communicated expectations, and all of the unknowns that I’m still navigating make it so that I cannot confidently show up for clients at this time.

When I am able to come back to work, it will be slowly, at a very reduced availability and with the possibility that I may have to cancel last minute.

I also will be updating my waiver to include a section regarding my new disability because, while not probable, it’s still possible that I could have a seizure during session.

The kind of epilepsy I have been diagnosed with is a progressive and drug resistant type that has me currently looking into brain surgery in the future.

I am so grateful for the clients I have gotten to see in the past, and I just want to be transparent to my regulars about what you could reasonably expect from me moving forward.

Always wishing you well, and I’ll keep you posted about further business changes as I’m currently scheming about how I can still be an asset to your journey of feeling good and moving well for as long as possible.

Happy spring, massage friends. I’m still navigating more seizures and trying to get that under control. Will be cancelling massages through March, at this time.

Hey massage friends, I just wanted to let you know that I had another seizure last week, and I’m not recovering quickly.

I will be reaching out to clients specifically, but here is an overall heads up that I am going to take the rest of February to prioritize rest and recovery in the hopes that I can come back to massaging in March.

I really do care about my clients, and while it’s hard to be honest about my current limitations, it’s not fair to provide bodywork that is less than the intentional relaxing and therapeutic experience you deserve.

I’m sorry that I can’t give that right now.

Im doing better but feeling very protective of my capacity, so as I slowly start coming back to work, I am moving forward with a very reduced schedule and will not be taking clients past a 2pm appointment start for the foreseeable future. At this time, I’m also unable to provide the extra deep work that some of you may have requested from me in the past.

There are many wonderful body workers in our community all with a variety of specialties! If I’m unable to get you on my schedule, here’s a few recommendations for you to check out!

Hello massage friends!

Thank you for your patience and understanding while I have navigated this shift in my health.

It’s been a wild month, yall! From an unexpected first-time seizure and a mild concussion recovery to still being on the journey of uncovering why this all happened in the first place, I have been a bit overwhelmed, but rest (true rest away from technological distractions) and prioritizing sleep have done wonders at helping me manage.

With that being said, I no longer have the capacity that I did prior to the seizure. I will be slowly coming back to work, but at this time that will be at a severely reduced client load and limited time availability.

If you purchased a gift certificate from me, please reach out to me so I can prioritize your booking!

Otherwise, I’ll be reaching out to clients as I’m able to gauge my new capacity. I am not accepting new clients at this time.

Hey yall, a quick heads up that my automated system seems to be having some issues, so if you get automated messages from me, please disregard.

Transparently, I’m not doing well. Since the seizure, I’m struggling with random bouts of nausea, headaches and fatigue.

I’m so grateful to those who have reached out with well wishes as well as clients who are eager to get back on my massage table, but I am in the uncomfortable waiting game for tests and specialist visits.

At this time, I do not see myself being able to work for the rest of January, but I am so hopeful that I will be taking on clients again come February.

I’m so sorry, you guys, truly. I’m grateful to be part of your self care practice, and I hate admitting that I’m just not up to the task right now.

Wishing you all the best and hoping you can get in with any of the other wonderful massage therapists in our area.

Hopefully, I’ll be seeing you again soon.

Hello massage friends, Jordan here.

A few updates in an attempt to communicate new expectations:

I’ve had some tests that ruled out some “big bad’s” and I’m still waiting for more tests and Dr visits to uncover what is actually going on.

As much as I struggle to accept it, I do need more time to heal and assess how I can come back to work.

While I am eager to see clients again, I do also foresee dialing back my client load for a period of time while I continue to navigate these health unknowns.

Hey massage friends, it’s Jordan!

I had a seizure on the 23rd. This was unexpected and for lack of a better articulation, it’s been a lot.

I don’t know what this means for my work as I’m currently waiting for neurology and more testing in Spokane.

I will be reaching out to clients directly in regards to rescheduling so I can prioritize rest and trying to figure out why this happened in the first place.

I completely understand if you do not wish to navigate this unknown with me, and I will be sharing some other relaxing deep tissue massage therapists you may prefer to inquire with.

Life, as I’m reminded, has no obligation to make sense to me, so I’m doing my best to roll with the punches. Please know I truly am sorry and so grateful (for all my clients) but particularly my regulars! Thanks to you I get to enjoy a small business and facilitate a life I’m excited to live in.

I don’t know what’s going on with me, but if you would like to continue massage & bodywork together, I’ll keep you updated on my health and my massage schedule.
