It’s wrap!!!

Towards the end of the week I decided I was done with my cut. I started waking up a few times through the night and had troubles falling asleep again. I am not sure but I felt like my deficit might be the culprit so that was it!

I am completely at peace and happy to be eating more food again!

In 20 weeks I lost 11 lbs and 10 inches. I took two diet breaks for travel and I am happy wit my results!

Biggest thing I realized in the past 20 weeks is that steady sustainable fat loss will take longer than you’d like.

You can chose a slow and steady pace with conservative deficit to make sure you will maintain your muscle mass, will be able to till enjoy food and life.

Or you can go more drastic way, bigger calorie deficit, it will be much harder to stick with but faster fat loss and you might sacrifice some muscle.

I decided to go with slight deficit because I have hypothyroidism and I love to eat too much!

Reach out if you have any questions or if you need help with macros or navigating dieting.

Losing weight doesn’t have to suck and if you choose macros it is efficient and enjoyable!❤️🤩

Week 19 is over and honestly I feel like I have in this cut FOREVER!

Scary thing is how “normal” it feels now to eat less calories. Your body and you will adapt to drfoit calories.

I am nearing the end of this phase but I am holding on for a few more weeks because I am still losing weight and inches and my bio feedback is good.

This is also thanks to two diet breaks I did.
Sure I’d like to drop the weight faster but that would mean bigger calorie deficit and I can’t imagine eating any less, it’s a head game for me.

Instead my fat loss is slow and steady, I can relax knowing that I preserved as much muscle as I could while making it somewhat enjoyable, lol!

I was able to enjoy pizza, Lebanese food, even risotto!😉

Here to few more weeks!🥳

This post is actually a week old but I am posting it anyways because I have been traveling for the past week and there is not much data to go on!🤪

I am still powering through. I am getting almost comfortable and the hunger and cravings are not bothering me as much anymore!

I am definitely feeling leaner and more toned which was the goal of doing this cut, revealing what I spent the 8 months b before this building.

While I was away for the week 18 I focused on steps and movement while relaxing! I was able to train in the hotel gym and I kept me macros somewhere between my deficit numbers or slightly above, which I was not stressing about since tracking while eating out is hard anyways!

We had a great time in Cocoa Beach and that’s what matters.

Let’s see how my numbers will look in week 19!!!🥳🤩

Week 16 is done and I have to say I am getting mentally tired of dieting!😭

I can see my compliance slipping and at this point I am trying to decide whether to be done or take another diet break while away for a small vacation and then do a few more weeks of a cut.

I will see how I feel after this coming week and decide. Week 16 was challenging because I had a lot of social engagements , ate out and didn’t see much weight loss. I know that that is not the only measure but it is starting to mess with my head:)🤪

I got to eat a lot of great meals like beef stir fry, fresh local fish and roasted duck my brother made!

Wish me luck this coming week!💪

Routine feels great!😊

Here are my thoughts nearing the end of my cut.❤️

Starting something new, changing your habits is hard. Your body will fight you for what it already knows and it’s comfortable with. But if you stick with it it doesn’t take long and you will settle in your new habits.

At the beginning of this cut all I could think about how hungry, uncomfortable and irritated I was that I couldn’t eat more. By now I am completely used to it. And it seems like eating at maintenance will be too much food!🤪

I know I will get used to that even quicker than the diet macros but still, I wanted to show you how relative changing your macro targets can be.

The biggest advice I have about doing a cut is to make sure you are certain why you do it, give it your all, be consistent and patient. The results will come and before you know it you are back to your maintenance calories!

Almost done!✅

It’s been a while!!!
I was off traveling to Europe for a week and then I got sick with pneumonia.🤒

Those two weeks I went to the gym 2 times and did a few quick home workouts, I made sure I had over 10k steps a day and focused on high protein high volume foods while I still indulged in my home favorites:)❤️👉all about balance!

I actually lost a pound during these two weeks.

Last week was back to my routine, my lungs are still not 💯 so my gym sessions are easier and I listen to my body! It feels great to be back in my routine and feeling like myself again.

Diet breaks like this are great to boost your metabolism and off set some metabolic adaptation so you can continue to diet a bit longer.
I am thinking another 6 more weeks and I will be done! I can’t wait to eat more again but I still have a bit in me to give to this cut!😂

I sure enjoyed some wonderful meals this week like beef ragu over polenta or pasta, tostadas and fresh local catch!

Down 8.5lbs and will measure soon!
Thank you for your support and love!❤️

Week 11 is behind me and I feel really good.

After my latest labs it came to my attention that lowering one’s thyroid meds (even under medical supervision) while in a cut is NOT the best idea. I went up to my older dose and the difference in how I feel is crazy!!!! Feeling so much better!❤️

And I had time to finally take my progress photos and there is nothing more motivating than seeing results. Knowing that my hard work is paying off might keep me going longer, lol.

I enjoyed some great food this past week like salmon sandwich and spaghetti puttanesca!

What’s next?! I will be going to Europe for a week to visit my family and I am planning on taking a diet break, here’s the plan:
👉 stay within my maintenance calories, keeping my protein and water intake high
👉 having 3 meals a day instead pf 4
👉 lots of steps and movement (hopefully a few visits to the gym)
👉 rest, laughter and fun❤️

I will not be posting an update next week since I will be out so keep your eyes peeled on my stories and week 13 update to see how it went!😍

A little late but still, I am doing my best here, lol!

I was out of town for the weekend and that is always when I get stuff done, so I feel all over the place, especially since I had to go out of town again today (Tuesday).

Well here is my week 10 update!

Even though I was traveling and didn’t track two meals this past week my weight and measurements have been trending down and I officially lost 6lbs and 6.4 inches.
Pretty happy with that.

I am feeling pretty good, a little ran down and tired from all that’s been happening and I promise I will include my progress photos this coming update since I will have time to take them. 😂😂😂

I have in more full week before I leave to go to Europe for a week and I haven’t decide how I am going to navigate that yet.

Stay tuned and follow to keep up to date!❤️

Week 9 is behind me and I feel like I achieved some consistency without any travel or celebrations and I see more results, yay!

👉 I have clients asking me how is my diet phase going and my initial response is: It sucks!!!😂

Of course it’s not fun, who doesn’t what to eat more?!?? I love food! This is why I decided to do only 15% deficit, I don’t want to be starving myself and be completely miserable.

That’s the best way to fail. It might take longer but it’s sustainable!

👉 I also hear people say: Oh, you only lost 5 lbs?
So let’s get this straight. I am healthy weight and BMI, I don’t have much to lose.

😘 Once you are under 150/160lbs you can’t expect to lose 1-2 lbs a week. The expected and healthy fat loss is 0.5-0.7% of your body weight a week.
So losing 5.2 lbs in 9 weeks is right on the schedule!

💪 the biggest things I want to avoid are hunger and muscle loss! And I am happy with my progress:)😂

Happy birthday to me!!! It was a week of celebration! 🎉

My plan going into this week was to stick with my macros while at home and as much as I could while away. (2 nights in Miami) While out of town I knew we will be eating out for two dinners, lunch and breakfast. And I was not going to track while eating out either!

While eating out I made sure I had enough protein, fiber in form of veggies and fun too!❤️ I also had some wine and mezcal, I enjoyed all my meals out and finished with a desert as well. All in moderation!

I ate what I wanted but didn’t stuff myself silly! I also made sure I was active (15k steps a day) and drank a lot of water. It was great!

And as expected my weight jumped up upon my return and it went to the lowest number I had through this cut by the end of the week!💪

I felt great mentally but tweaked my back and had some GI issues when I returned. So now I am taking it easy at the gym and resting to heal my lower back, sticking to my macros and enjoying delicious food! - in deficit!🔥

This is a perfect example that you can celebrate your birthday, go out of town and eat out while in a fat loss phase, you might not lose much weight but you will not lose your progress! And one or two days of not tracking doesn’t have to turn into weeks or months :)🥰🥳
