One of my biggest lessons last year was this:
I expected people to behave a certain way.
The reality?
People show you who they are from day one.
The illusion comes from the ego — expecting them to be different, hoping they’ll rise to what we think they should be. But the truth is, they’ve been consistent from the beginning.
That’s what loving unconditionally really is.
Let me be clear — unconditional love does not mean tolerating disrespect or “eating crap.”
It means having enough inner peace that their behavior doesn’t disturb your life or your sense of self.
You can love people for who they are
and still choose whether or not you want to be around that energy.
Both can exist at the same time without sacrificing yourself or your inner peace.
