Planned Emergency Alert System Test - Thursday, April 2

The City of Kilgore will participate in a statewide emergency alert system test on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM, in coordination with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).

During this time, you may:
Receive a test alert on your mobile phone
Hear outdoor warning sirens

Because agencies across Texas are participating, you may receive more than one alert between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM.

This is only a test. No action is required.

Testing helps ensure our emergency alert systems are working properly and allows us to evaluate how alerts are delivered during real emergencies.

Kilgore Christmas Parade is tomorrow (Tuesday)at 6:30 pm! Here is the route for the parade. We hope to see downtown Kilgore flooded with spectators!

And don't forget the blankets, it is going to be chilly this year 🥶

Tune into KDOK 1240 AM & 105.3 FM will be playing Christmas music from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Join us for our first Kid & Sensory-Friendly Movie Screenings – "Paddington 2" is our Mommy & Me selection for Monday, Nov. 10, and Saturday, Nov. 15. Both screenings begin at 9:30.

These special showings are crafted for guests of any age who get the giggles and wiggles when they go to the movies. The theater will be a bit brighter, the sound will be a bit quieter, and it's OK if one of our movie-goers needs to move around a bit to enjoy the show.

Any guests younger than 18 and our visitors with must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.

We look forward to seeing you at the movies!
