SAFFE Day - Kilgore, TX The Special Abilities Family Fun Event Day is FREE, crafted for children & adults with special needs! (Special Abilities Family Fun Event) Day.

The Kilgore Fire Department is excited to be the host for S.A.F.F.E. The event is designed to focus on anyone with special needs or abilities. The day is for people with special needs and their families, allowing them to participate in fun, educational, and exciting activities that are free. Most activities are fire service and safety oriented such as hose spraying to put out house fires and ringing a bell, riding in the fire truck, safety puppet shows, balloons, clowns, soaring into the air in a fire department aerial platform, face painting, educational booths to get assistance, free food, fire obstacle course, and entertainment. This is a special day that rewards all, participants, firefighters, city employees, volunteers, and our friends that donate to make this event successful.

Join us for our first Kid & Sensory-Friendly Movie Screenings – "Paddington 2" is our Mommy & Me selection for Monday, Nov. 10, and Saturday, Nov. 15. Both screenings begin at 9:30.

These special showings are crafted for guests of any age who get the giggles and wiggles when they go to the movies. The theater will be a bit brighter, the sound will be a bit quieter, and it's OK if one of our movie-goers needs to move around a bit to enjoy the show.

Any guests younger than 18 and our visitors with must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.

We look forward to seeing you at the movies!
