BREAKING: The Alabama Department of Human Resources announced that November SNAP benefits are being suspended due to the ongoing federal government shutdown.

Those who already received their November benefits before November 1 can still use them, but no new benefits will be issued until funding is restored.

Alabamians can still apply or recertify during the suspension, and DHR urges those needing food assistance to reach out to Feeding Alabama or local food resources.
