The Art of Being an Empath

The Art of Being an Empath Navigating the empathic gift can be challenging. Love yourself. Be authentic. Welcome to the world of HSP and a journey of many blessings. Namaste'

This page is designed to help you understand that you are not alone in this world. There are many HSPs and we are all at various stages of our gift. I'm grateful that so many are willing to share their knowledge so I can learn, grow, and understand the true beauty of being "sensitive". If the thought of being a Highly Sensitive Person bothers you...change the term to High Sensory Processing...the acronym stays the same (HSP) so it doesn't get confusing. As my HSP/Intuitive/Empath awakening began, I was so relieved to finally make some sense of why I process and respond to situations the way I do. And to also understand why the environment and people around me have the ability to affect my moods and well-being. I continue to learn new skills every day and hope the same for you.

JOY in the JOurneY - August 30

I’m not waiting for life not to be hard anymore before I decide to be happy. As I find Joy in small things everyday, I focus on challenging things less. I’m not avoiding the harder things, I still spend time processing. I just choose to also spend time figuring out what brings me Joy and I keep going there too.

The sunlight illuminating my bouquet of flowers and celestite crystal is sending powerful rays of Joy into my heart this morning.

JOY in the JOurneY - August 29

Joy means different things to different people.

Today, Joy came in the mail from a very talented lapidary artist. Gemstone heart shaped cabs speak to me on a very deep level. Thank you, Ben!

There is also Joy in local flower bouquets and supporting a local food truck business.

I do not expect Joy to drop in my lap. I find what brings me Joy and I go there!

Learn about your gifts. Learn to set energetic boundaries.

We are not here to energetically funnel off the struggles of others. What if they need those challenges to move forward in their own journey? What if our light must be protected to move forward in ours?

P.S. If you identify as a recovering codependent, check in and see if there is a level of energetic codependency happening. It’s a thing.

JOY in the JOurneY - August 23

There is Joy EVERYWHERE, and it gets missed sometimes in the mundane of the everyday. The hustle and bustle. The rigid routines. The needing of things to look a certain way.

Joy for me on this day was being
inspired to go spend time at a botanical garden. Not just any botanical garden, the one with the Prayer Wheel that was blessed by the Dalai Lama in 2005.

Joy was also listening to my heart and releasing a tiny sparkle of my son’s ashes in this holy place. His message - “this will free us both”.

JOY in the JOurneY - August 20

Sometimes it’s the smallest things that bring Joy to my heart and soul.

Today it is working in my home office with the windows wide open - letting in the late summer breeze, and the smell and sound of the gentle rain.

If this is the only Joy in my day, it is enough. But, it won’t be. There are so many more small things to notice and embrace to fill my life with Joy.

JOY in the JOurneY - August 16

Quiet morning on the lanai.

Sipping coffee from a gifted handmade pottery cup.

The chimes are calm, but happy.

The sky is a beautiful shade of blue.

JOY in the JOurneY - August 15

Making magic in my kitchen with fresh peaches.

And the beauty of locally grown, and in season fruits and flowers.

I am so blessed to live where I live and to be alive!!!!
