Gavin the Great This blog is to provide awareness to the condition

On December 5, 2018 Gavin was diagnosed with Pectus Excavatum after struggling with shortness of breath that began in August earlier that year and that subsequently lead us to dropping all his athletics.

I snuck some photos... SHHhhh!!
Surgeon used the same incisions as the placement with minor swelling as of now. Gavin still prefers this old lazy boy chair he used to recover in instead other much nicer ones we have. 🤷‍♀️ (Plus this chair is our dog, McCreed's, now and I think he is jealous.)

Gavin is doing AMAZING!!! Thank you for all the ❤ love and support.
We are so ready to move on from this major event in his life. It's such a bonus that this removal process and recovery is going so smooth!

These little guys are out!! Boyd and I are waiting to meet Gavin back in recovery.

Today is Gavin's first day of his Out Patient Day Treatment that we've been waiting for MONTHS!
Gavin and I have temporally moved to Boise during these weeks possibly months long therapy.
I'm so humbled to that we are able to stay at the Ronald McDonald Home.
Praying that we will get all the tools we need to keep our boy happy and healthy.

Scope done and feeding tube in! Everything looks good inside other then an area that's red/bruising from the vomiting.

New diagnosis of Visceral Hyperalgesia.

Now we begin to see if he can tolerate the feedings and wait for pathology results. Those are expected hopefully by Friday. 🤞🏼
