This week, Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, SC, broke ground on their future ER at Martintown, another step forward in expanding emergency care for a rapidly growing North Augusta.

When it opens in Fall 2026, this freestanding emergency department will expand access to lifesaving care, ensuring their growing community has access to emergency services, right when they need it most.

The team at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health, located in Washington, DC, recently hosted a Block party where they welcomed neighbors, families and friends to meet their community hospital. From live music that had everyone dancing, to free food that brought smiles to every table, the day was filled with warmth, laughter and connection. Families enjoyed games, activities and health resources, all in the heart of Congress Heights.

Congratulations to Alexei Kambalov, FACHE, VP, Military Programs at UHS, on being sworn in as a Colonel in the Oregon Air National Guard 173d Fighter Wing at Kingsley Field. In this military role, Alexei continues a career that started on active duty and commits to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Oregon, bear true faith and allegiance to them, obey the orders of the President of the United States and the Governor of Oregon, and faithfully discharge the duties of the office. In the coast-to-coast ceremony, Alexei took the oath of office remotely from UHS HQ located in King of Prussia, PA, topping off a day of strategic planning among the UHS Patriot Support Military Advisory Board – representing 172 years (and counting) of combined military service to a grateful nation.

We salute you, Alexei, and we appreciate your dedication to UHS and your military career.
