Blue Fern Forest Bathing

Blue Fern Forest Bathing Guided Forest Bathing In Maine, New Hampshire & Northern New England. Trust the Forest. It's the job of the forest and you to do the rest. I hope you join us!

As a Certified Forest Bathing Guide, it's my job to create a safe container for nature connection. Guided Forest Bathing is a nature based mindfulness practice - usually done with a group of others. The sessions are about 2 hours long and include guided mindfulness invitations designed to engage all your senses and drop into the present moment. They usually end with a tea gathering where we seal i

n our practice together and connect as a special forest community. The scientifically proven benefits of forest bathing are reduced stress, lower pulse rate & blood pressure, improved mood & creativity, improved immune function to name a few - and I have experienced just a calm sense of well being after guided sessions. Through mindful guided invitations you are able to enter the more than human world - and that is a place where you have the chance to quiet your mind and settle into your body and fully embrace the present moment. We do all of our living in the present moment only - the past is gone, and the future hasn't happened. All we have is the present moment again...and again...mindfulness practices like forest bathing give you an opportunity to drop in to the present moment and experience all the benefits.

🫖🌊 Tea by the Sea

Looking for a Mother's Day Gift?

A mindfulness coastal walk & tea gathering at Seapoint Beach Headlands

Late April and early May have their own quiet kind of beauty.

Before summer arrives in full swing, this season invites us to slow down, clear a little space, and notice what is already here: salt air, early spring light, wind off the water, and the steady sound of waves along the Maine coast.

Join Blue Fern Forest Bathing for Tea by the Sea, a gentle mindful walk and tea gathering inspired by scent, memory, care, and the sacred ordinary.

With Mother’s Day on the horizon, this is a lovely way to spend meaningful time with a mother, daughter, sister, friend, or any woman in your life you want to celebrate. You are also warmly welcome to come on your own and enjoy a peaceful afternoon by the sea.

We’ll move slowly along the headlands, pause for simple sensory invitations, breathe in the coastal air, and close with a warm cup of Cup of Sea, a green tea with Maine kelp.

A portion of proceeds supports Kittery Land Trust.

Saturday, May 2
1:30 to 3:30pm
Seapoint Beach Headlands, Kittery, Maine

Come as you are. No experience needed. Just a willingness to slow down and let the coast meet you.

Turn down the noise and turn up your senses with us as we walk slowly and peacefully at Lafcadio’s Woods Preserve. Ends with a tea gathering in the forest. Free program - donations welcome! Register at York Land Trust!

This is my tree story!

The Arbor Tree Foundation is planting a MILLION TREES in neighborhoods across America as part of their MILLION TREE PROJECT. PLUS they are collecting TONS of tree stories! Post your tree story and tag them! Everyone has a beautiful tree story to share. https://www.arborday.org/celebrate

MY TREE STORY:
There is a tree tucked on a hidden trail here in Maine that I find myself visiting a lot. So much so, that I named it Walter. We have shared many moments. I am a Certified Forest Therapy Guide and as part of my practice, I sit with trees. I sit still and quiet with Walter and sometimes we share tea. Walter stands over this marsh year after year. Walter has endured many broken limbs and harsh Winters, but also many beautiful sunsets and calm moonrises. I've never befriended a tree before or since! I can't way why we share this bond. But we do.

Thanks to for shining a light on this organization!

My favorite time of the year here in Maine! It’s Frog Song Season!! We had to sneak up on these frogs because they are quite shy and will go silent if there is too much commotion on the shore of their vernal pool. But we were patient and sat down for almost an hour with the best seats for this annual concert!

Lee Holden at lists Forest Bathing in his 2025 book “ready, set, slow” as a slow nature based practice that “may well be just the ticket to 360 well-being.” We couldn’t agree more! 🌿💙

This book is surprising me at every turn too. I’ve been practicing QiGong 2-3 times a week with Holden QiGong since I injured my shoulder during yoga in 2017 and there are practices in here I’ve never tried. Every chapter offers daily exercises to live and breathe more slowly—and even video links. My new handbook for living slow and joyful!
