The Matthew 5:40 Movement Knightstown Indiana Healing for this community through lifting up a family in the eye of this storm. This action has gained worldwide attention. His father has terminal cancer.

THE MATTHEW 5:40 MOVEMENT.....

The Matthew 5:40 Movement has emerged following the lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana on behalf of a Knightstown resident, who stated that the display of the cross on the community Christmas tree on the town's public square, was in violation of the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause. The response of the Matthew 5:40 Movement is to surround this man and his family with love. His family is hurting and in despair, all under the glare of the world. This man is hurting too. This group is donating food and money to the family through community support to help ease their burden of insurmountable medical expenses and financial hardship. A Community Love Gathering was held recently to lift up this family in prayer, praise and music. A message of love, acceptance and grace is being spread. The cross has left the top of the tree...but it's power is felt even more deeply now in our hearts. A freewill donation of cash and of non-perishable food items are being accepted to help ease the burden of this family caught in the eye of this storm. A bank account is set up at First Merchants Bank (The Matthew 5:40 Movement bank account) to accept donations for this family. Non-perishable food items as well as other gifts for the family can be dropped off at many local Knightstown businesses. See our Facebook posts for details. T-SHIRTS are being sold to commemorate this growing Cross movement in Knightstown, Indiana. All proceeds will be donated to help this family. Check the Facebook posts for more details on how to purchase a shirt. Healing...for this family..this Christmas season and beyond...and for this community. KNIGHTSTOWN IS.....a family of love.....
It's a community full of...and welcoming to....people of all ages...all color and races..all nationalities.....young and old...gay and straight....people of all faiths...and non-believers too. Those two lighted sticks...once perched atop that tree....tell us....that we welcome you all...we are all God's children. "And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles."
-MATTHEW 5:40-41

She gave of her time....to the children of this community....she served with the ladies of the Legion Auxiliary......she gave her love and caring to her horses....
She was there.....to be our friend....with a smile and kind word....for many years at our Dollar General.....
She gave.......
