We love Dr. Howell! Thanks to the Tennessee Chiropractic Association (TCA) for highlighting her work!

When Dr. Danique Howell accepted a position as a Chiropractic Assistant at Apple Healthcare, she didn't realize how much it would impact her career path. Changed by the positive outcomes she saw in patients, she decided to become a chiropractor. Having previously completed her BS at the University of TN, she earned a Masters in Sports Health Science and a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University in 2015. She immediately applied for TN licensure, joined the TCA, and rejoined the staff at Apple Healthcare – this time as a Doctor of Chiropractic. She sets a great example of care and compassion, believing strongly in the importance of the work she does every day. She loves caring for children, babies and expectant mothers, and has earned both her Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics and certification in the Webster Technique to better serve their unique care needs.
Dr. Howell models a healthy lifestyle with her husband, Lawrence, and their 4 children who enjoy being outdoors; whether it is leisurely, exercising, or participating in sports. They also enjoy being active members of their church. The TCA is excited for all she has accomplished and looks forward to seeing where Dr. Howell’s dedication to chiropractic excellence and superb patient care will lead her in the years to come!

"By the time I met Jessica Cantwell for the first time, she was my last option for a major surgery. I had been having severe stomach pains for 2+ months to the point where my regular doctor thought it must be appendicitis or gallstones based on my level of pain—however, the tests they ran didn’t show either. The only option I was given was to have it removed. By this time I was basically surviving off of rice cakes because anything spicy, fatty, acidic, and a million other things caused severe pain. I was living in fear.

When I met with Jessica I was amazed at how she listened to my whole (extensive) health history. She was caring, and empathetic and shared some of her own stories with me. I was also impressed with how balanced she was in regard to traditional medicine and holistic options. She even ordered the importance of where and how to start my treatment plan based on my budget. I began apple cider vinegar, a liver cleanse, and digestive enzymes. In a very short amount of time, the pain was gone. I was introducing fat and spice and everything I loved back into my diet and it was working! Since then Jessica has continued to help with other issues I’ve had, including hormonal issues. I could not recommend Apple Healthcare or Jessica any higher. It has been such a great journey and I feel like I’m in the best health of my life."

I found Dr. Cole in 2015 and have been going steadily since because he has helped me dramatically. He's also well educated on nutrition that helps reduce inflammation in our joints and back. "I have come to Apple Healthcare for over 20 years. Over the years, I have been referred to several of the physical therapists. Most recently I have seen my favorite, Jamie. She has provided therapy and exercises to relieve a neck problem. She is so knowledgeable. She is extremely good at analyzing injuries and/or other issues and developing a plan of action to help the issues. Jamie always asks me questions
and considers my input to adjust the therapy. For several years, I have seen Dr. Howell for adjustments which help my chronic neck, back, and shoulder stiffness and pain. She is very good at addressing my continuing chronic aches and pains. She
regularly suggests exercises and therapies to improve my overall health. Dr. Howell gives me great advice on living a healthier life style. I have been referred to several of the nurse practitioners over the years. They have all been good at addressing my needs. I had hyaluronic acid injections in both knees and trigger point injections.
Everyone in the Apple Healthcare Western Avenue office is caring, compassionate, and professional. The front desk group is courteous and helpful. The billing staff addresses issues as needed. Overall, the atmosphere in the entire building is friendly, caring, and understanding. I believe every one of them lives the mission of the group. "I have been coming to Apple Health for many years. The service and compassion is unparalleled. My Daddy, who just two weeks ago passed away was a firm believer in chiropractic.
