Knoxville Dentist: Dr. Foncea of Sequoyah Dental Arts is not your daddy's dentist. He provides individualized care, fear free dentistry and life changing smile design. Our goal is to change lives one smile at a time. Dr. Foncea was a 2013 Top Dentist, a member of the ADA and AACD and a preferred provider of Invisalign. As of September of 2017 we are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Mariko McCall to our practice. Dr. McCall a University of Tennessee graduate, excelled in dental school. She graduated with honors and received the Excellence in Prosthodontics award, the Outstanding Performance in Art of Dentistry award and multiple academic and leadership scholarships. I believe her skill and her heart will be a perfect fit for our SDA family. We are beyond excited she has joined our team, we hope you will enjoy getting to know here just as much as we have.

Today we’re celebrating one of the biggest hearts at Sequoyah Dental Arts — our amazing Treatment & Financial Coordinator, Amber! 💛

Amber is such a huge part of what makes our office feel like home. She connects with our patients in a way that’s truly special… she listens, she cares, and she helps people feel safe opening up about their lives and their dental journeys. Her personality is the perfect mix of warmth, humor, and kindness — and we are so thankful for the joy she brings into our office every single day.

Outside of work, Amber is a rockstar mom who coaches her son’s baseball team and loves her family BIG. 💙⚾️

Before the month ends, we couldn’t let Dental Hygiene Month go by without reminding you how important your gums are!

If your gums bleed when you brush or floss, that’s your body’s way of saying “help me out here!” 🫣
Bleeding is often an early sign of gum inflammation (gingivitis) — but the good news is, it’s completely reversible with consistent care.
