Thank you for visiting my page! I am a Knoxville TN based doula and educator with several years experience in different educational and baby related fields. I have worked with several non profits from the Holistic Moms Network, Babywearing International, Attachment Parenting International and more since around 2010 and my pregnancy with my second born. My doula training is with DONA International and I am currently working as a Birth Doula but only taking a small number of clients. I am also currently working as the Educator and Event Coordinator for Knoxville's only Natural Parenting Store, Bohemian Baby. My role there is to teach classes on Cloth Diapering, Babywearing, Green and Holistic Living, Parenting Prep and Childbirth Prep as well as many other additional classes and events. My background in schooling and previous careers all surround either Education or Women in some way. I have studied Social Work, Anthropology and, my favorite, Women's Studies. My services include a wide array of options in addition to the normal Birth Doula Services such as educational and other parenting support. Women have complex needs during childbirth and the weeks that follow. In addition to medical care and the love and companionship provided by their partners, women need consistent, continuous reassurance, comfort, encouragement and respect.
