Tom D’Angelo represented the Knoxville Center of the Deaf at the SERID Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The purpose of SERID, Southeast Regional Institute on Deafness is to hold an annual conference coordinated by State Coordinators for the Deaf in the Southeastern United States. The conference brings together health professionals, employers, consumers, educators, and others interested in issues affecting individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, and/or late-deafened. Its goal is to promote greater understanding of these issues through publications, research, and educational programs.

Knoxville Center of the Deaf is thrilled to announce our first-ever Virtual Signing Santa event happening December 16th and 17th!

If you are a Deaf or Hard of Hearing teacher, we would love for your students to join us for a magical 30-minute visit with our Signing Santa! It’s a joyful experience filled with laughter, signing, and holiday spirit.
