The National Center for Enhanced Post-Adoption Support is launching the 2026 Center Chats, a learning series designed for professionals building and improving post-adoption service models.

From Foster to Forever, Meet Seline. 🏠

Seline first entered DCS custody in 2011, spending 16 months in care before moving in with relatives. In 2017, she bravely re-entered custody, continuing to hope for the stability and love she deserved. In 2021, everything changed.

The Freeman/Shaw family saw her video on AdoptUS Kids and felt an immediate connection. After a long, thoughtful process and more than a year of building a life together, Seline’s adoption was officially finalized in October 2025!

This year…
• Our ASAP and GSAP team served 341 families through in-home pre and post-adopt therapeutic services.
• Our Adoption & Guardianship Preparation team trained 966 pre-adoptive parents.
• The Resource Center trained 473 adoptive parents and supported 918 people through groups and family events.
• And our team connected with 10,127 families to complete their post-adoption reviews.

With more than 8,000 children in foster care across Tennessee, our work has never been more vital.

Jordyn is very sweet and likes to have a good time. She loves playing games and joking around. She is very creative and really loves art. Some other hobbies that Jordyn enjoys are volleyball, dancing, cheer, hair and make-up, shopping, playing outside, watching TV, and playing video games. Some of her favorite shows are Girl Meets World and Wilding Out. Jordyn's favorite music is R&B. Her favorite artist is Olivia Rodrigo. Jordyn has dreams of becoming a counselor when she is older. She would like to get married and have kids. Jordyn describes herself as unique and a leader. She will stand up for herself, and she feels like she has a strong spirit. Jordyn is a positive person with healthy self-esteem.

From foster to forever. 🏡

Some families leave a lasting mark on our hearts, and the LaMothe family is one of them.

In 2016, the LaMothes and their two daughters opened their hearts and home as foster parents. Over the years, they’ve welcomed more than 50 children and continued to grow their family along the way. Since then, they have adopted nine beautiful children into their family. 💙

Stories like the LaMothe's remind us exactly why our work matters.

Caleb enjoys meeting new people, though he can be shy until he gets to know them. He enjoys animals, especially dogs and cats. Caleb likes to eat and try new foods. He is favorable of sweets. He is very helpful in the home. Caleb enjoys being involved with the church and attends weekly services. Caleb desires a forever home that will allow him to maintain contact with his sister and be located in close proximity to her.

Harmony's FOCUS (Finding our Children Unconditional Support) and Permanency Programs work together to find forever families for children in foster care. This year, our programs served 1,498 children, resulting in 324 adoptions and 310 children finding other forms of permanency.
