Sad Buddha day. Yesterday while cleaning the pond, my phone went for a swim. Yep, fell right out of my pocket and went plunk. I was listening to a massive book about the history of the United States. It was rather depressing actually.

Immediately after retrieving the phone, it restarted! But just to be safe, we put it in a plastic container with some desiccant beads feeling hopeful all would be well.

Before bed, I was reading The Madonna Secret by Sophie Strand. (It's a massive book and so hubby and I have been having conversations about the life of Jesus and religion off and on for the last month or so.) Before I turned the light out to go to sleep, I checked the phone again. This time it was not responding.

I said to hubby, "The plastic box now looks like a little coffin." 🥺 My cheeky man says, "Give it three days, maybe it will rise again." 🤣🤣🤣

I'm in Bend, OR on vacation with my aunt. In my room there is a map of the area and pinned to it is one of these patches.

It is the hotel logo and such a beautiful image.

I LOVE ❤️ to collect patches, especially if they are merit badges. So I asked the front desk if they had these for sale.

The very friendly woman hands me two and says, "These are on us!" When was the last time you got an award for taking a vacation!! 🏆
