T H R E E • Y E A R S 🌿

Grateful for all the things -
the kids & families I’ve gotten to know & support,
learning how to run a business,
the collaborations & events,
always continuing to learn,
the people who have been part of this in big & small ways,
the growth I’ve experienced,
the little moments that make it so meaningful,
and all the time spent outside ☀️

Proprioception plays a big role in how kids move throughout their day, but it’s often one of the most overlooked pieces.

It’s closely connected to things like attention, coordination, confidence in movement, and overall regulation. When this system is supported, kids often feel more grounded in their bodies and better able to engage with what’s in front of them.

When it’s not as supported, you might see more restlessness, big movements, or a constant need to seek out physical input.

Instead of trying to stop those behaviors, we can start to look at what the body is asking for.

So much of childhood development happens through movement & real-life experiences: exploring, trying, adjusting, and learning along the way.

👋🏼I’m Jenna, a pediatric occupational therapist + certified babywearing educator.

Here are some things I care deeply about:
➖occupational therapy
➖babywearing & connection
➖motherhood (the beautiful & the messy)
➖supporting kids in ways that actually fit real life
➖getting outside as much as possible
➖whole-child development
➖sensory processing & regulation
➖simple & realistic strategies
➖seasonal rhythms
➖bringing kids into everyday life
➖creating environments that truly support kids

The list could go on and on, honestly.

The truth is that I don’t think we’re meant to niche down…especially because kids & parents aren’t meant to be supported in pieces. They deserve support that sees the whole picture. 🫶🏼

Since it’s OT month, I asked some of my pediatric OT friends their go-to’s for sessions and these are SO good 👏🏼

Whether you’re a therapist, parent, or supporting kids - these can be so simple and so effective.

P.S. I linked as many as I could in my Amazon storefront to make it easy for you to find them all in one place! (link in bio)

What would you add? 👇🏼

Did you know there are actually 8 senses, not just 5?

The 3 that aren’t talked about/learned about are SO important.
👉🏼vestibular (movement and balance)
👉🏼proprioception (body awareness)
👉🏼interoception (internal body signals)

These senses shape how kids feel, move, and regulate…so when we understand this, we can start to understand our kids more. 👏🏼🫶🏼
