A question I get a lot when it comes to babywearing is:
“Who do you help?”

The answer to that is more people than you might think. I work with:
-brand new parents
-moms recovering postpartum
-caregivers with neck, shoulder, or back pain
-babies with torticollis or reflux
-grandparents who want to learn how to babywear
-families with multiple kids
-those who feel intimidated by the wrap/carrier they have
-parents who feel overwhelmed by carrier options
-anyone who wants to feel more confident & comfortable babywearing💪🏼

So, whether you’re trying to get things done around the house, heading outside with multiple kids, navigating postpartum recovery, or simple wanting your baby close without adding strain to your body - I’m here to support you.

Personalized support can make all the difference. 🤍

A toy that only does one thing often leads to one type of play.

Open-ended play is play that doesn’t have one “right” way to do it.

Often times, this includes what we call “loose parts” which are simple materials (like what you find around the house or out in nature) that can be used in many different ways.

This kind of play supports so many aspects of child development.

So, just a friendly reminder: you don’t need an abundance of toys from the store…sometimes the simplest things really can create the most meaningful play. 🫶🏼

If you’re someone (like me🙋🏼‍♀️) with a tight mid-back, here you go 🤍

This seated sequence is designed for all the hunching over that comes with real life - feeding babies, babywearing, carrying kids, sitting at a desk, and more.

You can do this in a chair or on the floor.

The sequence: (complete 5-10 slow breaths with each pose)
1️⃣Chair Mountain Pose: sit tall, feet grounded, spine long
2️⃣Seated Cat-Cow: inhale lift the chest, exhale round the spine
3️⃣Lateral Neck Release: ear to shoulder, no pulling
4️⃣Seated Side Stretch: reach up, lean over
5️⃣Seated Twist: inhale lengthen, exhale rotate gently
6️⃣Goalpost Arms: inhale round upper back, exhale open chest
7️⃣Seated Eagle Arms: elbows lift slightly to spread the shoulder blades
8️⃣Arm Hug: hug arm across the body
9️⃣Chest Expansion: hands behind the back, lift the chest & soften shoulders
🔟Breathing Reset: one hand on chest, the other on the stomach, inhale wide and exhale slow

Save this one for later. Your body deserves care too 🤍

Can you babywear after having a c-section?

Yes, with the right support 🫶🏼 Since a c-section is a major abdominal surgery, here are a few things to keep in mind:
✔️working with a pelvic health PT is beneficial
✔️start slow & take breaks as your body needs them
✔️avoid pressure on the incision site - some carriers may feel better early on

Want help finding a carrier that fits your body & recovery? Feel free to reach out. I’d love to support you 🤍
