🍳Egg subscriptions are now open! My ladies have decreased on their laying (as is the natural process) Their bodies take a little break in the colder months. This means that I have less eggs in stock. But you can subscribe to a weekly or biweekly egg drop! Your order will be filled before any “add on orders”. This is a great way to ensure you get the wonderful eggs you love and I can plan qualities with the lower daily egg numbers! Message 970-939-6445 to get on the list!!

We had a very fun surprise during chores this morning. Our sweet Libby pig (who wasn’t due until Saturday) delivered 9 healthy piglets this morning! Sow and babies are all healthy and happy! Thankfully, we moved her into the birthing hut pen on Monday in prep for the weekend 🤪

Mama is a gentle and good pig. Unfortunately, even the best sows can step on their babies. That is what happened to this little piglet during evening chores. My oldest was able to pull her for the pen quickly to prevent further injury! Sadly, this means that she is will have to be separated from Mama and the other piglet. We are hoping for a quick recovery for her little hind legs. Today she can walk a little bit better but is still very sore and has 1 leg that doesn’t want to move. She is taking the bottle well but doesn’t enjoy being separated from her brothers and sister! Our goal is to keep her healthy and happy while the legs heal and then reintroduce her back to the them. My oldest daughter has named her Sassy. She is currently living in the greenhouse but spends the nights at our home.
