Sometimes we are not moving forward because something holding us back.

God is calling us further but sometimes it just feels like we can't and alot of times the thing that's holding us back is unforgiveness.

In order to be forgiven we must forgive and in order to forgive we must overcome unforgiveness.

What is it that is holding you back what is it that's keeping you from what God is calling you to.

Colossian 3:13 says we are to forgive as He has forgiven you.

Forgiveness removes barriers that without it will remain forever.

Refuse forgiveness and have forgiveness refused to you.

I encourage you to forgive today forgive that situation do not allow someone to have that much control of your life.

Love calls for forgiveness

East Alabama is grieving the loss of Pastor Jeff Meyers, the longtime Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church Opelika. He passed away from a heart attack on Thursday.

He was a steady, trusted leader who cared deeply for the people he served.

Pastor Jeff was known for showing up when people needed him most — in hospital rooms, at ballfields, in living rooms, and on Sundays in the pulpit. His “Ask Jeff” teachings reached thousands.

We are keeping his family and the entire First Baptist family in our prayers.

Pastor Jeff will be remembered for his kindness, his faith, and the way he pointed people toward hope.
