This young man. 26 year old Scott Ruskin. Fresh out of training for the US Coast Guard.

​On his very first day on the job was sent to the Texas flood waters. Was dropped into the treacherous flood waters and proceeded to save 165 people. Mostly kids. One after the other. He started directing other people, and immediately became a focused leader in the situation at hand.
​
​After the fact he simply stated I was just doing my job and would do it again without hesitation.
​
​As a mother myself I cannot even imagine what some of these parents are enduring.
​
​As a mother myself I can’t help but think about his own mama. How proud she must be of her beautiful son.
​
​God bless this young man. May we all raise incredible human beings like this. ❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Why the Trail Running and Wellness Expo? Keira Henninger, who brings you some of the largest and greatest trail races on the West Coast has once again built an event that can't be missed. A few years in the making, now is the time to bring this event to life. Walk the breathtaking grounds of King Gillette Ranch while sipping craft beer, visiting endless booths while sampling all the latest and most relevant products on the market today for an active lifestyle. Booths will emphasize on an active outdoor lifestyle, and range in products from food, trail snacks, supplements, and anything you can think of to better the quality of your life through food and wellness. The expo will also feature numerous booths with trail running gear, recovery products for any outdoor activity you partake in, and the latest in outdoor apparel. Start the tour of the expo with a beautiful tote provided for free, and fill it with goodies and samples as you tour all this expo has to offer. Your mind will be blown by what you see, taste, and learn. Finish off the evening with viewings of the most incredible trail running films the sport has to offer. This event will offer some guest speakers from the sport of Ultra Running (TBA), and a Q&A with these special and elite athletes. I am excited and thrilled to be bringing such a special event to the Southern California outdoor community.
